LHP Hotel Santa Margherita Palace & SPA

The staff were all extremely lovely and very helpful. We were given all the information we needed at check in any time we passed staff in the hallway or spa they were warm and friendly. Great location short walk from train station and to the beach front, spa facilities were nice.

I read a number of negative reviews online before staying here and had my concerns, thankfully the Hotel exceeded my expectations. The Hotel staff couldn’t have been nicer and all prices were communicated clearly to me. The room was lovely and cleaned thoroughly during my stay. Spa access was included in my stay. I stayed in the secondary building but it’s literally next door. Breakfast is €30 and spa access if not included in your stay is €50. The cost of those are consistent with the local area. As a side note a 3 mile taxi to Portofino will cost you €50 as a tourist. For the price I paid the Hotel was excellent, especially considering the cost of other 5* Hotels in the area.

No real negatives overall

The hotel is in the city centre and 4 minutes to Santa Margherita train station. We were able to walk everywhere on our stay. The staff is outstanding and helpful, we were provided with an early check in and complementary drinks. Don’t hesitate to step up your room if you’re in doubt. The rooms on 4th floor are gorgeous and ideal for a couple. Sig.ra Simona from front desk does everything in her power to help you with your requests. She was exceptional.

The spa is rather small and lacks an indoor pool. If the spa is the main focus of your stay, I suggest to search more. However, in special occasions they reserve the spa hourly for 2 people at a time. The exclusivity really made up for the size.

We wanted to visit Portofino and therefore stayed for two nights in LHP Hotel Santa Margherita. We booked the hotel for a very good price and we didn't, expected that everything would be great. The hotel exceeded our expectations. The staff were extraordinary. They made sure that we had everything needed. The hotel had a very good location, close to the beach and near to the restaurants but still in a quiet area. As we travelled by car in several cities in Italy parking was a strugle in each ans every hotel. But in this hotel the staff took care of our car and parked it near very ose to our room. The room was very nice and clean. It was in the newly renovated annex, which also had a SPA. I would kindly recommend this hotel.

Nothing we didn't like. Everything was perfect.

The location was excellent. As we travelled by car the hotel provided parking fo a fee. Once unloaded the car was taken to a parking spot and on checkout brought to our room for loading the luggage. The tasty macarons in our room was a pleasant touch. We were in walking distance to town , beach, ferry. The hotel also provided suggested restaurants and bars for Santa Margherita and Potofino.

Wonderful staff and service. Great location. Modern rooms.

We were located in the separate building on the underground level, which is super odd. The terrace is underground level and it feels claustrophobic. I feel like we were given the worst room in its category, as it was right next to the service room.

The front desk staff was fabulous as were the housekeeping personnel. The hotel was nice would not say it was a 5 star facility.

The breakfast was great our dinner was just ok extremely small portions. The spa was too expensive $50 per person per day even just to use the workout room, most hotels that we have been to that have a 4 or 5 star rating have the spa open to guests at least the gym portion of the spa.

The hotel is brand new, the staff is exceptional the location is amazing, The staff at the breakfast and reception are very helpful . Lots of choice at breakfast, I definitely recommend the hotel

Very enthusiastic staffs with great service. The room is tidy, clean and so comfortable as the housekeeper came to clean our room everyday. Great location! Only walking distance to the town centre also to the train station where the bus goes to Portifino starts and ends! Highly recommended, will come back real soon!

It was a great location from the station and close to lots of places to walk & also the taxi boat to Portofino great stay and hotel

The cost of the breakfast was a lot more than we was told
