Hotel Villa Belvedere

The Belvedere has an amazing breakfast, stunning pool with cafe/bar, and a cosy, villa feel about the residence. This time we stayed in one of the new apartment suites a little further up the road. It was spacious and newly appointed. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful or friendlier.

Whilst the suite was beautiful, just be aware that it is a little further up the road so walking to breakfast, the pool etc isn’t as easy as just walking up or down steps as it would be if you were staying in the main hotel building. Also the shower in the suite was in the bath and very narrow - every time you turned to wash yourself you would accidentally knock the water tap off - they would have been better off taking the bath out and making it one luxury shower.

The villa is so classy and elegant without being stuffy or pretentious. Plus the location (so close to town), views (so broad and panoramic), breakfast (so much variety and quality), and staff (so friendly and helpful) are all amazing! The only downside was our room which was very small for the price and the bathroom lighting which was rather dim at night. (However, having a window in the bathroom did help during the day time.) Overall, I would not hesitate to recommend Villa Belvedere and would stay there again in a heartbeat. We drove all the way around the island and stayed in 7 places in 14 days, and this was hands down our favorite location and our favorite hotel. We knew Taormina would be pricey compared to everything else but it was so worth it to wake up to a terrace and spectacular views each day! And to be able to sit outside on our terrace during the day. We never tired of the view which overlooked the pool and the sea and Mount Etna! <3

I absolutely loved staying at Hotel Villa Belvedere. The staff were exceptionally friendly, I felt at ease immediately which is so important when traveling alone. The Manager even went out of his way to drive me to the bus stop with all my luggage in the middle of the heat, and happily did so. The hotel is beautiful and the view was exceptional! I was given an upgrade at no extra cost, the room was clean and spacious and the bed was very comfortable. My time there wasn't long enough and can't wait to go back to visit!

Nothing, everything was perfect.

I lived in a spacious and beautiful apartment in the building across the street. + I loved the terrace and perfect sea view + Excellent breakfast was delivered every morning to the door

Although I loved my stay and apartment was flawless, I believe the price is extremely high for just an apartment: + During winter all hotel facilities are closed. So the description of the property is mostly misleading and hotel has not so mush to offer to winter travelers + The location is ok, but not the best - you have to walk for 10 minutes on a dull street every time you want to reach center locations and restaurants. Although the beautiful botanic garden is just across the street. + The vallet parking costs 30 euro a day, that seems too much.

The view from the room is absolutely breathtaking. Hotel stuff is super kind and helpful. They helped us dealing issues with a car company that has nothing to do with them (with Italian dealect). They also lated our checkout upon request since my wife got very sick and we needed so more time to get ready to leave the hotel. Finally, the breakfast is one of the best i have ever had, everything is super fresh and the love and effort they put into it are well presence. Absolutely beat choice.

Wifi is just ok.

The location of the hotel was ideal, within easy walking distance to the town's shops, restaurants and sights. The staff were friendly and professional.

It was disappointing that the hotel did not offer evening meals when the lovely breakfast room would have been an ideal setting. The terrace of our suite was overlooked by 2 other terraces. The hotel should be adults only - noisy children were not in keeping with the tranquil and beautiful setting....! There was a raised section of floor between the sitting area and bedroom area, giving access to the bathroom - not ideal for older guests.

There was confusion over what type of room we had booked and we ended up being upgraded to a beautiful room with a balcony overlooking the ocean and pool area. We didn't choose the breakfast option but were given a complimentary breakfast as well. Five nights at the Hotel Belvedere in Sicily was a wonderful way to finish a 6 week holiday in France and Italy. I cannot speak highly enough of the staff . They were so welcoming and helpful throughout the whole hotel, from breakfast and beyond. My wife and I hope we have the opportunity to stay there again.

It would be easier to say "what didn't we like"? Which was pretty slim - simply dinner was unavailable at the Villa / Hotel, View - amazing! Staff - welcoming, friendly, personable, helpful, delightful! Breakfast - degustation every single day! Room - clean, comfy! Overwhelming hospitality.

Dinner not available in the Villa / Hotel, though breakfasts, lunches and general ambiance well and truly made up for this. Two hat restaurant, along with a number of other dining options available in short walking distance.

This was a clean, comfortable hotel in Taormina, close to the Corso Umberto. The hotel staff were very attentive and helpful in every way. Upon arrival, they sat down with us and offered suggestions for tours and activities they could arrange for us. Any time we needed a taxi or dinner reservations, they set them up for us. Our room had a large terrace overlooking the sea, the views were beautiful.

The room rate is on the high side, however it is due to Taormina's popularity,

Beautiful setting over looking the bay of Naxos, Mount Etna and the surrounding countryside of Taormina. The hotel was spotlessly clean and wonderfully decorated with lots of interesting art, ceramics and sculpture to enjoy. Our rooms were very comfortable and quite spacious. A short walk from the hotel brought us to the main street of the town with all its buzzing atmosphere, restaurants and bars. Great facilities in the hotel and very attentive multilingual staff who went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable as possible.

A bit of a trek to get to a beach if that's what you like to do. We went once to Isola Bella via the cable car which was an efficient service. A wonderful place to swim but was super crowded. This did not detract from our stay overall as we enjoyed relaxing by the pool or exploring the town.
