Hotel Montecarlo

The property is perfectly located, about 300 feet from St. Mark’s. It was easy to find, front desk assistance was great, and we enjoyed a wonderful breakfast and afternoon coffee/tea. We stayed in the 3 bedroom apartment, which was in an annex 1 block away from the hotel, but it was great. 1 bedroom, bathroom and kitchen with dining area downstairs and 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom upstairs. It was perfect for our family. The apartment contained a washer machine (no dryer, but drying rack provided). The kitchen was fully stocked with plates, pots, etc. Close to excellent restaurants and shopping. We would stay again and recommend it to family/friends.

We enjoyed our stay! Our room was neat, clean and decorated in an older style, but loved it. I loved having an actual room key instead of something computerized. The breakfast was amazing. All the staff from the moment we walked in the door till we left, were happy, caring, eager to help with any questions. We would definitely stay here again!

The location was excellent. Right in the middle of everything so it was easy to pop in to use the washroom or enjoy the complimentary tea at 4pm every day before heading out again. Staff were very helpful, and I appreciate the gold detailing in the room that was classic Venetian.

Room was small and the guestbook said robes and slippers were complimentary in every room but then I called down and it wasn't for our room? They need to update the guestbook because this was a let down. Also, the breakfast wasn't great we preferred to go to a local cafe and grab a sandwich and coffee and watch the world go by instead of eating powdered eggs.

Great location to San Marco square and ports. The staff was very friendly. Breakfast included various options. Unit came with Air conditioning. The hotel has a lot of character.

The economy double room and shower was really small, but it was fine since we spent most of the day outside. The shower head and surrounding had mildew, but everything else was clean.

Amazing location! Right off the main square and very easy to walk to if you are planning on arriving via ferry from the airport. The staff were lovely. We stayed in the annex as opposed to the main building, which I had assumed might have one or two rooms but it had many floors. Better than the main building in my opinion but it doesn’t have an elevator so maybe not as good for those less mobile. Hotel staff helped us carry out bags in too which was nice. Would definitely recommend the stay.

The location is just off of st mark’s square. Easy to find. The staff were very kind and helpful. They even packed us breakfast for the day of our departure as we were leaving before breakfast. Rooms are comfortable with beautiful linens and towels. They should provide a water per person, but they are for sale in the fridge. There’s a Spar Market close by where you can get water. The only reason for not giving all 10’s is that I booked for two nights and had a change in plans. They would not let me cancel the night even though it was 4 months before the stay.

The property was great. The Planet Pizza Pub that is near the hotel is a rip off! Don’t go there. They charged us €20 for a beer and did a “special dinner” for €400 for four of us!

We rented 3 bedroom 2 bath apartment. 2 bedrooms upstairs and one bedroom downstairs.. it was a wow factor when I walked in. It had everything you would need. Very impressive place.

Oh... One major fault was upstairs bathroom. No leg room at all. You can be on the toilet and rest your arms on the sink at the same time. However, the bathroom downstairs was perfect size for us Americans. :-) just wished it was a bit more roomy bathroom upstairs. Also, another thing to keep in mind was the location. Although it was ideal location close to all attractions but train station was quiet a walk...we walked 30 min with luggage to save 200euro water taxi for 6 people. If no luggage to drag, no issues.

Location is perfect! Only one minute walking to the San Marco Square and you can walk to the square in early morning if you try to avoid crowds. From square within another 10 minutes, you will find Alilaguna water service towards Venice VCE airport for 15 euros! I don’t know if it is booking.com or hotel staff responding my specific questions promptly, anyway no one would ignore your questions.

Morning breakfast buffet is very impressive! But snaps are tooooo sweat for me for afternoon tea time. Eating area are clean and staffs are very nice.

Everything went well. The staff was exceptionally professional and helped us with making arrangements from the Venice Airport to the hotel and then to our cruise ship which was docked in Trieste. The hotel porter met us at the water taxi stop just feet from the hotel and also transferred our bags to the water taxi which took us to meet our driver to Trieste. Breakfast was very good. The room was on the small side but very adequate. Most boutique hotels in Europe are similar. The location was just a very short walk from St. Mark's Square. The hotel staff recommended an excellent restaurant for dinner. We couldn't have been happier and wished we could have stayed longer.

Location, location. Breakfast only the pancake i liked. The rest was ok.

Hotel was nice but venice as a whole… nothing to do with hotel, I’m a bit disappointed with the city of venice… dirty, crowded, not helpful people (except hotel staff).. lastly the venice trade mark ( how I remember venice last 1979 and 2003) … the pigeons are GONE. we asked what happened.. they stop feeding the pigeons cuz people found them annoying… how sad… now looks like concrete empty space like a tourist trap and food awful restaurants… my veal piccata was served COLD… wanted to return it
