ATO Hotel Kyoto

the location is excellent, is really close to where the restaurants, markets and bars are. Plus, stations are right around the corner. The staff are excellent and their English is really good. Definitely will be coming back.

Everything is excellent. If I have to say something, maybe they could be more time at the stay. At night there’s no one. I didn’t have any issue but I notice some other people who struggle with that.

Close to Keihan-Sanjo Station and Metro Sanjo Station, it was convenient for access to both Kyoto University and (further) city centres. For a room I booked in the last minute (early on the day of the stay), it was very good all around.

The bed was a little bit “thin” in the room where I stayed; not that uncomfortable or anything but it could have been more comfortable.

The front desk was very helpful as she went out of her way to service us. The floor worker at our floor was also very kind and helpful. The location is really good and the property is well maintained.

The room could use some more repair. The table/bar across our room slouches a bit. The fridge also does not get cold.

The staff, Mary, was helpful. Also the front desk provided helpful information in getting around thr city. The aircon was really cold. The sheets and the bed was nice. The lobby was also clean. Was able to stream using the wifi.

The fridge doesn't get cold no matter how many days it was plugged in

The hotel is in a very strategic location. It's near a subway station and multiple bus stops that can get you anywhere, even to Arashiyama. The staffs are very helpful and their English are good (better than me?), so international traveller need not to worry.

the location is perfect, very close to Sanjo station, pontocho and several other places in central area. you can go walking, in front of the hotel is the back of a temple with a huge cherry blossom three which you can appreciate from your balcony. the front is lovely with kind of an art gallery. everything was very very clean. there was a problem with my booking but was promptly solved by Li-san. the hotel is sited in a small street so it is a silent place.

the bathroom is a bit tight for me, I am 6'0 (184cm) , but had everything is needed. the fridge is small too but we didn't use it.

Very well located. The people from the hotel are very nice and helpful. Bike rental shops right next door, which is extremely convenient for Kyoto. Small rooms but confortable

Perfect location. Very nice staff and availability. Speak English and japanese. Room is smaller than usual hotels but fair enough for the price and as a solo traveler it was actually totally ok.

Staff Sofia-Sama and Wataru-Sama were really kind and servicial!

The art work in the reception added some colour. The staff were friendly.

Room was on the smallish size, especially the bathroom. Wouldn't recommend for someone over 190cm. I made it work for the day.
