I really loved the location. Close to the stations and some great food places. There's a yummy Korean place around the corner that does nice lunch sets. The room was nice and compact. Perfect place to put your head down at the end of the day! Staff were friendly. Facilities were clean.
Iron before you go as there was only one iron that was in use so I couldn't iron my clothes.

it was a bit dusty. I found dead insects close to my window when I arrived. Also it was smelling cigarette a lot. It took me 3 days to make the smell disappear from my room

The shower curtain had mold. The hotel paper stated that I could have a late check out for free but the staff said I had to pay 1000 yen

Very central location
I was on floor 6. The room smelled like smoke and stale air. This did not go away after keeping the window open for hours, so probably due to the air circulation system. The surfaces and carpet were covered in dust. I contacted them via email to request early check-in but never heard back. When I arrived at the hotel the reception was unstaffed until 12 AM, there was a phone number you could call but nobody picked up. Thankfully I found a member of the cleaning team and with google translate I asked them if they could at least store my luggage, which they did. The staff spoke little to no English, which is incredible given how touristic the city is. Trying to ask for help to get a taxi to the station early the morning after was a joke. I think they tried to tell me (in Japanese) that you can just wave at a taxi and it will stop for you, but could not indicate where the nearest taxi stand might be. As if I could take the risk of missing my train to the airport! Thankfully Uber worked for me in the end.
