ACCESS by LOISIR HOTEL Nagoya

Accessibility from Sakae station: there's underground passage from station to hotel. From Sakae station, follow the direction to Oasis 21, then 7-11@Oasis 21, then continue to the tunnel that leads to a building with NHK and exit at the ground level. The hotel will be right in front of you opposite the road.

Large luggage is challenging in the room. But considered big for hotel at this price range.

I booked the room after a very last minute decision to travel to Nagoya for a few days. It was an excellent choice. The hotel is in a fantastic location and the room was lovely. You're provided with everything you could need for a stay; even sleepwear. We didn't partake in the breakfast but it looked like a lovely spread.

There was a constant drone in the room. Maybe from some sort of ventilation and there may be a way to turn it off, I'm not entirely sure. You do get used to it and the noise just fades into the background but if you're a very light sleeper it might be a problem I guess.

Access by Loisir is located quite close to Sakae Station. The rooms were great, and the facilities were amazing. The best part is the location, which is perfectly close to the trendy spots in Nagoya, and has easy connectivity to Osu Kannon and Nagoya Castle and other places…i think the hotel is also very friendly for people with specific physical challenges. It comes across in small details, like having a special lift for wheelchair users, and having separate shower areas and toilets in the bathroom…

The staff speak (at least a couple of them) very little English, and that created a bit of an issue, getting some points across. But not too much. The check in and check out process is pretty much automated, so no major worries. It want too much of a problem…

Location is great , so close to walk to the spaceship and the tower . Very pretty at night . Must go for photo shooting. The nearby area at the spaceship and tower have some higher price restaurants, but if you okay to walk one more block there are cheaper options 😉 the hotel could rent out bicycle if you need one.

The room look a bit smaller than the photo seen in the website. And one of the room I booked seem like the bathroom is bigger than the bedroom area. Can't say is all bad , as the bathroom got a big bathtub. Which is great for foreigners who is taller , as you know, Japanese normal bathtub could be quite small to fit in. The other room I booked has no bathtub, just showerhead so the sleeping area seems bigger. The breakfast is take out style. Wish they had dine in option. Then it would be better.

Convenient location. From Sakae station or Oasis 21 bus station, look for the NHK exit and that will take you right across the road to the hotel! This exit has an elevator too, so it’s good for people with luggage. I like that the hotel’s surrounding area is very lively with many shops and cafes, but the hotel itself is in a quieter part so we didn’t hear any loud noises at night. There’s also a Family Mart a bit further down the road and a hidden 7-11 within the NHK building. We came in from Tokyo, so our room felt relatively more modern and spacious with plenty of natural light.

No laundry facilities, and there were no nearby coin-operated laundromats at all. Soundproofing was generally okay, but it was common to hear sounds of the toilet flushing, chairs scraping, etc coming from upstairs. And I’m not sure if this was a security feature but our room’s keycard touch panel was a bit wonky; we’d have to tap three times for the door to finally unlock (a minor inconvenience we eventually got used to!).

The staff were very pleasant, the rooms are very well planned. They are super modern, with shower cubicles separate to the toilet which was a nice touch for two people sharing a room. The location was excellent, only two stops from Nagoya JR Station and a tiny straight walk at the end. It is near a very swanky shopping district and some fun nightlife, but not so close that you hear it all night.

The breakfast. We paid extra on arrival for breakfast as we have had good experiences with Japanese hotels' breakfasts but this one was odd. You collect it in the foyer and take it up to your room, which was fine. Lots of bread, butter, jam, some soft boiled eggs in their shells (so messy when you peel them!) salad, beans and pottage soup (!). I don't eat much bread and there was no rice or miso, so I just didn't take breakfast a second time.

Nagoya traffic freaking sucks brah cuz they ain't got no free pass that lasts for 5 days like Tokyo but thx to the free rental bikes that this hotel provides, I was able to save up a lot of traffic expenses. Room was clean, warm shower, clean toilet... honestly you can't ask for more as a solo traveler. This place is cleaner and cheaper than your average love hotel lmao

Nothing except that the walls are not great at soundproofing so best of luck if your neighbors are having some humpy time at late night

Great staff that speaks English and is very helpful. The location is convenient once you get to the hotel from the main station, which can be a pain with a lot of luggage. Room quality is good and there are even extra services such as renting a bike for free. There are a lot of things to do and see around the hotel.

Be aware that you have to book a room with a bathtub if you want one and that the hotel does not offer a laundry. The breakfast has to be eaten in your room (which is fine) but if your room is high up and it is windy, the food might fly away since it's an open hotel.

Very nice new hotel in a fantastic downtown location. Literally across from the NHK Broadcasting Centre and the connected Oasis21 Bus terminal and two seperate Subway lines all within 2 min walk excellent location. Nice and clean room that was of a good size with a separate toilet and shower. It was -2 during our stay but the air conditioning worked perfectly and kept the room nice a warm. Everything was within walking distance or a short subway ride away. The traditional Japanese breakfast was good too. There is a Microwave and ice machine in the lobby thats free to use. The reception staff spoke perfect English were a great help when checking in and so helpful in helping me solve my parking mishap. Make sure you read the email they send you about parking otherwise you might be like me and accidentally parking in an non regulated parking spot and cost yourself 8900 yen... It was completely my fault for not reading the email they sent.

It was a little odd for a new hotel of this size not to have a laundry. You can take a free bike to the closest laundry about 5 min bike ride away. Not the end of the world just a little strange but there is a solution.

Great, clean and modern hotel very close to the hustle of Nagoya night life but also far enough out that's it's not so noisy. The staff were excellent and very helpful. We loved the easy check in. Liked the option of take away breakfast although a little pricy for the offerings, still a great option for a few days.

A little noisy from other guests but the hotel seemed to be quite popular so not the fault of the hotel at all.
