The Tokyu REI hotel is a good value hotel very close to the Midosuji train line in Esaka. Our room was fairly spacious by Japanese standards and the beds were comfortable.
The check-in procedure was ridiculously complicated. The COVID precautions in the restaurant were restrictive and unnecessary. In late March the air conditioning was permanently set to heating even though the weather was warm. There was no cooling option, and the window required a special tool to open. We won't be staying at this hotel when we return next year.

The location is perfect, it's close to the metro station and there are many stores and restaurants nearby, such as uniqlo, tokyu hands, etc. The room's size is satisfied for one person, but if there are two guests that will be not sufficient. All the staffs are friendly and welcoming which makes me feel guilty for unablilty of speaking Japanese, I will improve myself next time. Thanks for your nice service.

Great staff, clean and tidy rooms and lobby. Many lifts which all came quickly. Extremely convenient to the station (but in general a weird area, would only stay there if you had to be there.) Restaurant was good overall (breakfast scrambled eggs were delicious.) Great fluffy towels.
Lunch buffet was very limited, basically a smaller version of lunch with nothing extra. Wifi was quite poor. Hot drinks--aside from coffee at breakfast--were all in a machine and weren't the best.

Would definitely recommend staying there. The room was nice, the bathroom quite big and the staff friendly. There are plenty of restaurants and shops nearby, too.
