Shinagawa Tobu Hotel was our last stay in our Trip close to the Haneda Airport. The location is great and the personnel was very courteous and friendly with us. The rooms themselves were clean. For the location its definitely a fine value accommodation.

The AC and fridge were very loud. The bathroom wasn't quite as nice as to what we were used to from our other stays and had some of that typical bathroom mold. I personally wouldn't recommend staying here for a long time. But for a couple of nights it served our purpose, to have one last day in Shibuya and get to the airport hassle free the next morning, perfectly.

The room was comfortable and a good size for a Japanese hotel room. The bed was firm, but I slept comfortably with no pain in the morning. Compared to other hotel breakfasts I had during my trip, this one is simple, but filling. When you take a seat, they bring out a plate of eggs and breakfasts meats, then you can go to the small buffet as much as you like. The staff were extremely nice and friendly, even with the language barrier. I liked being able to leave my luggage in the hotel after checkout. I still had some time before my flight, so I asked to leave my luggage with them while I explored the area. The aquarium is right across the street and so is the shopping area. If you need an easier time up the slope, the shopping area has some escalators and walkways that can take you partway up. I loved how close it was to the Shinagawa station.

The slope is STEEP. Be mindful if you have heavy rolling luggage. My only complaint about the location is how tiring the walk up can be, especially if you have been out in the city all day.

perfect for something easy to access directly from the Shinagawa Station. In a decent location from plenty of other shops like 7/11, Family Mart, and the nearby Shinagawa Prince Hotel's amenities. Hotel was clean, has good options for their vending machines on the second floor, and relatively quiet throughout each night.

Room was fairly small. If you are a fairly large person or packed too many things, you may feel crowded. Bathroom was also fairly small. But for the price of the hotel, this is expected.

We were so happy with our stay at Shinagawa Tobu. It’s only a brief walk to Shinagawa station, which can get you all over Tokyo. The staff were incredibly friendly — my partner and I came in sweating after a stressful journey to Tokyo, and pushing our luggage up a steep hill (no way around this unfortunately, so just a warning if you’re unfit like me!), and the receptionist grabbed us water while we checked in. The rooms are small, but that’s to be expected of Tokyo. Lovely deep baths though, so it was great to unwind after being on your feet all day. 7/11 convenience store is nearby in the Shinagawa Prince Hotel complex. I’ve stayed in Shinjuku before and definitely preferred this hotel!

The lack of air conditioning was the only thing that bothered us. However the staff were kind enough to place a standing fan in our room so it was a bit more comfortable.

The location was fantastic, just up the road from Shinagawa station. Breakfast was ok, fry up to start with, yoghurt, pastries, coffee, tea, orange juice. And a first for me for breakfast- beef curry with rice followed by onion soup! Good provisions in the room- slippers, bottled water, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, shower caps, wash cloth, hairbrush, hair tie, cotton pads, toothbrush and use if a hairdryer.

We were in a triple room and the 3rd bed was a pull-out sofa bed, I pulled the short straw and ended up in that. Not comfortable at all and felt every spring in the night! I ended up having to fold over the duvet and slept on that. Needs updating and the bathroom floor grout needs a good clean.

The location and value for money are excellent. Being able to walk down the hill to Shinagawa station and also having the convenience store just across the road in another hotel were a bonus. The room has everything you need and the bed was very comfortable.

For a longer stay, you might need to purchase breakfast elsewhere as it is the same everyday- 2 small sausages, 2 small rashers of bacon, some mashed potato, and a small amount of scrambled egg served to everyone with a breakfast ticket. There is a buffet with small croissants, bread rolls, beef curry, rice, and onion soup. You can have some yogurt with strawberry/blueberry jam. There is tea, coffee, orange juice, and water available. Some fresh fruit would have been good. You have the convenience store close by so if you are staying for an extended period you can always purchase other items.

Short distance from the Shinagawa Station which is a big station that you can go almost anywhere from. The room sizes were on the smaller size but that's to be expected as most hotels have small rooms in Japan. Small bathroom but it had a shower and bath combination. There was enough room in there for the average person to move around. Rooms also had everything one would expect such as shower caps and toothbrushes but they also had things like plastic combs and razors as well as nightshirts that were refreshed every day like the towels were. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. There are also two washing/ dryer machines on the 2nd floor where the vending machines are. We also had breakfast there and it was very nice but it can get repetitive as there isn't any change day after day. I would stay there again but I wouldn't have breakfast every day. The staff was very helpful, even they changed the breakfast menu for us. Only downside is that there is a very steep hill that needs to be climbed to get to the hotel and that is difficult with suitcases and with tired feet after a long day of walking around exploring Tokyo.

-Walkable distance from Shinagawa station (but it is a slope, so you need to take your time walking up to the hotel) -Convenient store is very near the hotel -Room size is good (20 SQM) -Staffs are polite and can communicate in English

-Our pillows were too soft, when we wake up, we have a neck pain T_T -Breakfast is good but the main course (Sausage, Egg, Ham, Mash potatoes) is only one-time served while the rest are all you can eat -Air temperature can not be adjusted in digital, the AC panel has only Low, Mid and High. Eventhough we turn the AC to low but the room is still very very cold. So we decided to open the window instead.

Affordable and surpassed my expectations. I was expecting the room to be very tight however the room was much roomier. 7min walk to the station. They have a common area so good for groups so they have an area to meet and hang out. The receptionist who checked me out at 5am was very cheerful and appreciated her warm personality.

I wouldnt say the cleanliness is top notch, but it is acceptable. I would recommend the property to focus on the bathroom area. Not too much to do in the area, but convenient if you have an early slight as its only 20mins to the airport
