Ahyu Hotel

From the staff to the room and including the location, the Ahyu Hotel is fantastic! It's located in a very normal-nice street 2 minutes walking from Masjid Jamek LRT station which is a rapid transit station in Kuala Lumpur, and it is only 2 stops to KL Sentral from/since you will take the Express to airport. The Hotel is very well maintained, is very modern and very charming. It exceed my expectations being a 2 stars hotel indeed. Staff is very professional and kind. Wifi was just perfect all the time (we stayed in 3 nights). The room was very clean, air conditioner worked perfectly, maybe too strong :D . The area is plenty of shops and restaurants with a very delicious food. It is located in city centre and if you like walking, it's perfect to discover the city, old town. It's only a 25minutes to Petrona's tower. We walked the distance from the hotel and was a very pleasant walk, as the city is very safe and clean and people very nice and kind. Bathroom, bed, were perfect and very clean. I would choose it again if I would come back to Kuala Lumpur.

I couldn't say anything I didn't like it.

The room was fine as it was clean, smelled OK and although it wasn't big it wasn't too small either. The hotel was in a great location and I could easily walk to Chinatown, Little India and Dataran Merdeka. There was also an LRT station just around the corner which I used to visit other areas of Kuala Lumpur. The staff were friendly and accommodating and took care of my laundry and gave me good advice about the area. I slept great despite having a room above the street and near the elevator so my room was reasonably soundproof. Internet worked fine as well.

The bathroom was clean and functional but the top shower seemed to spray the water in needles and it kind of hurt, but there was a handheld shower which worked great. The water did build up in the shower pan and flowed out onto the floor and into the floor drain, so don't put any clothes or towels on the floor.

Staff were incredible, location was great. Was able to walk from the premises to KL Tower, Bukit Bintang, Jalan Alor etc, and honestly, value for money was pretty great! They also had a small "shop" downstairs that sold water, drinks, noodles. Lobby was staffed 24/7, which was great for security.

Safe didn't work, WIFI was questionable, hallways had echo that would reverberate into your room when everything was quiet, and a lot of hidden (under the bed, behind safe, behind fridge) dust & dirt.

I have always been particular about bathroom cleanliness, the bathroom was really clean which meets my expectation. The water pressure was excellent for a refreshing shower. The air-con and fridge were also well functioning. The location was perfect, Masjid Jamek station is just walking distance from the hotel. Many tourist spots are just within walking distance. This place really worth its price.

Although the bed sheet was clean, there were small unknown particles on the bed sheet which was a little uncomfortable. The parking spots were limited since the location is on a busy street but it is no harm if you're travelling on foot from the train station or Grab.

We booked Family room. It has 1 double bed and 2 single beds. Rooms is spacious. Location is GREAT! Near to KL tourist spots ie Merdeka Square, Petaling Street, Kota Raya, etc. Walking distance to a lot of restaurants ie McDonald. Burger King, KFC, Zus Coffee, Indian restaurants. Walking distance to MRT and LRT station. The water shower in the bathroom was strong. It does offered welcome drinks, next to their hotel.

Does not have slippers in the room. Can hear street noise but bearable at night. No on site parking. Recommended to use public transportation to this hotel.

The staff are great and responsive. They even allowed us to check in 1hour earlier before the check in time. Hotel is clean and the location is near to most of the tourist attractions.

Aircon is not cool. It's a bit hot inside our room eventhough the aircon was set up to its coolest setting. Also, make sure to inform the receptionist in case you want them to make up your room.

Clean and cosy spot in the heart of KL, a very short walk to Masjid Jamek LRT station. Dataran Merdeka and Central Market (Pasar Seni) are also within walking distance. It is surrounded by restaurants (mostly Indian cuisine), fast food, and shops. Staff were polite and helpful. 24h reception with luggage storage available upon request. Hot and cold drinking water dispenser provided in the rooftop common area. Unlike many other hotels in Malaysia, the bathroom has a shower screen to keep the toilet area dry.

Lift was broken on the first day (this was promptly repaired). Air con was dripping water (this was reported to reception and a repair order issued). TV was not fully functional. Shower fan cannot be turned off when in the room, presumably to keep smells away.

Great location and easy to get to the metro station (4 min walk). Beds were comfortable and room had aircon. Staff were friendly and room was clean..

Room had a slightly odd smell from the bathroom, but tbh we found this everywhere in Malaysia. Security box was locked from previous stay.

We had a very pleasant stay at the hotel so we decided to extend it. The room was quite comfortable and the location very convenient, easy to walk to the city center. It was also very quiet and we could rest well. We would definitely recommend this hotel!

The service could be improved : one day the reception forgot to ask the staff to clean the room (after we asked). The other day it was the laundry that arrived late so the cleaning could be only done at the end of the day. Another day we asked if we could get another chair as we only had one stool for 2 people. We've been told by the reception they didn't have any other chair available. A little while after that we discovered by ourselves a pile of functional chairs not used by anyone in the stairs... It's not a big deal, but small details that add up at the end. We still enjoyed our stay!

staffs were friendly and very much helpful..i have recommended this hotel to my friends.. i highly recommend family room with window. it has 2 single beds and 1 king bed. suitable for family of 5. the 5th person is charged around rm30. im giving millions of stars for cleanlines, friendly and polite staffs. 3 mins walking distance to masjid jamek lrt station..situated in a business centre..great wifi connection..

no parking facilities. hotel guests are requested to park their vehicle at the nearby paid parking area at own cost. but i dont mind parking at the paid area since it is safe and 3 mins walking distance to the ahyu hotel. since the hotel is situated in the middle of the city, we need to bare with the day time street noise but other than that all perfect.
