1) room size is comfortable 2) water pressure is good 3) location is good 4) Chinese restaurant are just opposite the hotel. (operate for breakfast and dinner only) 5) Night market and Morning market are within walking distance ( I stayed on Saturday night, not sure whether they had it on other day)

1) The air freshener at common area ie lobby, lift etc is too strong.

we arrived by bus from Semporna, which dropped us off on the main road, less than a 5min walk to the hotel. we only stayed one night as was catching the ferry to Tarakan the next morning - we were able to walk with our luggage to the ferry port in 10mins great restaurant options and ATM nearby staff very helpful room as described and as shown in pictures great for one night

For singaporean reading..this hotel location remind me of our East Coast park hawker Center area. Like Katong park area hotel before the East Coast highway construction.Sabah food and people is similar to us Private but when approach , like us, they are kind.Tawau is a bit Batam style minus the bars. Very quiet in the evening due to early sunrise and sunset. For Muslim family travel without five star in mind . It’s a good getaway.

For simplicity traveller.. this place is as good as it is.

Helpful staff. Room maybe small but we were fine with it as the room was very clean, coffee, tea, drinking water, toiletories provided. CCTV was on the tv & we can see our car the whole nite. I woke up at 3am & i can see 3 staff manning...hanging out infront. Location was excellent. Famous seafood restaurant just opposite & the sea was about 100m walk! Thank you for having us City Garden Hotel!!

I like a LOT about this hotel. 1. The room is soooo clean. This is the most important. I give 10/10. The toilet also very clean. 2. The staffs so polite and friendly. 🤍 3. The location is very convenient. Weekend market, restaurants, 24hr store are walking distance. Car park available near hotel. 4. The hotel is muslim friendly. 5. Lot of choices on TV channel. 6. Bed and comforter are sooo comfortable. 7. The price is way cheaper compared to another hotel with the same service. Even this hotel is way better. 8. Too much I like about this hotel, therefore I have decided to extend my stay for another night. It’s really a good experience. Definitely will stay here again some time.

Not that I didn’t like it, I just hope one day the hotel will provide buffet breakfast. It will be complete and leveled as 5 star hotel.

We spent one night transferring to the airport which was 30 minutes in a taxi. There is a 24 hour food court opposite ( not noisy) . Room was very clean and looked newly refurbished. Shower was great. Tea and coffee facilities in the room. Bed was very comfortable. Very happy considering the price.

Hotel was great. Location is ok. Tawau is only good for transfers - no more than one night stay.

Very strategic location within city centre, there's a 24 hours food court right opposite so it's easy for late supper or early breakfast.

Soundproofing isn't very good, which can be a problem if those staying near your room are going in and out at odd hours.

I love everything about this hotel especially my seaview room. Room is spacious, bed is very comfy, sheets are clean, toilet is also clean with hot shower. Toiletries are adequately provided. Staffs are friendly and helpful. The best hotel in tawau imho. Better than those so called boutique hotels that charge you so much for a small pigeon hole room

We stayed for 1 night only. Overall, satisfied with the services including receptionist who was very friendly. Hotel location is strategic enough. You need Maxim or Grab if you wish to reach other places in the city. Unfortunately, 24hours coin laundry nearby was closed during my stay - I went to other laundry by Grab.

So far ok with the price. Not so many restaurants nearby as compared to other city hotel. But it is acceptable.

Location. Just outside the hotel, there is famous seafood restaurant which offer cheap and fresh seafoods. Walking distance to Pasar Tanjung Tawau. At night can just walk around and relax along the beach front esplanade.

Front desk didnt allow us late check out at very last minute even tho he did agreed upon arrival. At last minute changes, we cant arrange the airport transfer and wasted our time waiting at lobby. Very disappointed.
