Osborne Hotel

Lovely hotel in a very good location in Valletta, walking distance to the central bus station and all the attractions of the city. Very attentive, professional and polite stuff. Nice view from the rooftop terrace. Comfy beds. Nice breakfast space. As for the breakfast itself, it was quit good, but I would improve the quality of some of the products.

Our room (602) had the most amazing view and the rooftop space was great. The location is superb, very easy to get around Valletta and a few minutes from the bus station if you need to travel (taxis are there too or use ecabs app). The staff were friendly and helpful when we had a little problem with the room. WiFi was good.

It was mainly quiet but there was a persistent electrical noise, which initially disturbed my wife. However it got much better and we slept well. The breakfast was mixed. Some very good bits (fresh fruit salad, sweet pastries, even champagne), but no choice of cheese and not much choice of teas. There were lots of sockets, but all were in use and you can't leave things charging when you're not in the room.

Central location, clean and well-furnished room, good breakfast

The room I was staying in was smaller than the size indicated in booking (there was literally space only for the bed), with a small window overlooking an inner court and another wall. Moreover, it was on the first floor and since very early in the morning you could hear the noise coming from the breakfast room. Not clear why such a lower-class room is offered at the price of the regular ones. When I asked to change it, I was told that the hotel is fully booked. It was a pity as the overall feeling from the hotel was not bad.

I live in Gozo and work in Valletta. When the Fast Ferry isn't operating and I have to be at work early the next day, I often stay at the Osbourne. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful - nothing is too much trouble for them and the level of service is something I rarely see in Malta. Check-in is very quick and straightforward, and there is lift access to the upper floors. The showers in the room are excellent, the televisions are great, with several channels, and access to Youtube, and Netflix (if you have your own account). The beds are comfortable and smell really good. During my several stays, I have never had any problems with noise. Even the bar is very quiet, peaceful and relaxing with a lovely atmosphere. Michael, the barman / receptionist is an absolute gentleman and makes all of the guests feel very welcome and valued. My favourite hotel in Valletta by miles!

Everything was excellent, especially the staff- very helpfull. Tiny pool on the roof vas good too. Breakfast- excellent, well trained staff, pleasant athmospheare. Location perfect, easy to reach the hotel from the bus station by walk, Sliema ferry and old city are next to the hotel.

The room was really small, but hotel is situated in the old historical building, maybe the space is very limited cos of that. The worst thing was AC. It was blowing extremely cold air and it wasn't posible to do anything with that, just to turn it off. +40c outside and arctic climate in the room was really schocking.

Perfect location, close to the bus station for the airport and very close to the main pedestrian street and the most important tourist attractions. Many restaurants on the hotel street. The room (6th floor) offered an amazing view to the city and the sea; it was very comfortable and very clean. The breakfast offers a variety of choices, including vegetarian food. Above all, the whole staff - from the hotel general manager to reception desk and all other employees - was full of solicitude, ready to help and assist with any request. A very good value for money!

Absolutely nothing to complain.

Great location. Staff were generally polite and friendly (especially the cleaning lady, who was alway very cheerful). Reception offered me a room with a better view after the first night (without me asking), which was nice.

My only slight criticism relates to the pool/ terrace area on the roof. The pool is very small (but I suppose this is to be expected from a city centre hotel roof pool). The terrace area could definitely be improved/ made more comfortable with better seating, some shade, plants etc. Finally, it would be good if there was a bar on the roof terrace, or a way to order drinks/ food up there, as going down to the bar on the ground floor isn't very convenient.

Amazing location in Valetta. Far enough away from the bustle to be quiet but close enough to walk to everything within 15 mins including the bus station. Generous breakfast buffet with plenty of choice (loved the bottle of champagne available every morning!) Rooftop pool was perfect for a dip to cool off at the end of each day. Great views of Valetta and the harbour from 6th floor. Beautifully decorated and well appointed room. Lovely friendly staff who were happy to help with enquiries. Good reliable air con which was a great blessing.

Great location, a lot of great restaurants and shops nearby, lots of main attractions close as well. Staff was very friendly, they offered us adapters as we hadn’t realised that the sockets in Malta are different than most EU countries. Breakfast was fine (english breakfast, pancakes, sandwiches), could get a bit tiring after 3 days.

The shower pressure in our room was a bit poor, maybe this was because we were living on the 5th floor. Also the shower handle was situated on the wall at knee height which wasn’t too comfortable for using, but this wasn’t too big of a problem.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is nice and you have many different options (sweet and savoury). It changes a little every day as well. The room is modern and spacious. The location is really the highlight of the stay: very close to the city, the main street with shops and to the bus central station. It could not be better located than that.

The window of my room was really on one of the corner. The room was therefore quite in the darkness all the time. I do understand that it comes from the hotel being an old building with uncommon architecture. I hope to be luckier during my next stay in this hotel. It was really a minor inconvenience.
