This place felt like a true oasis in the jungle. I loved it all, the spacious private bungalow, the pool to relax at, the beautiful restaurant with extensive menu, the perfecf Wifi throughout the entire location. This was our perfect place to relax in between our Mexico road trip.

When there were larger groups in the hotel, the staff tried to force upon us the breakfast buffet, instead “a la carte”. The buffet with 550$ per person is expensive and not worth the price for what you’re getting. Much better to order something tasty from the breakfast menu which is cheaper too. When we strongly told them we didn’t want the buffet it was okay, but they did it with all the others guests too.

I liked very much the swimming pool...extraordinary spot. Though, maintenance is being announced by having blue paing being washed by time/sun. Take car of that swiming pool, is a mine!

Is only a detail but there is a room for improvement: was my wife anniversary and nor the staff nor the reception...no one made a detail for such special day. A very tiny detail can count a lot. I ended asking in the morning for a small cake with a candle or something. Staff in the restorant were very nice by providing the necessary to remember that day. Special thanks for them. For the money is paid and being classified as spa...I think you should pay attention to dates or ask during check-in.

It's a very nice resort for those who don't like typical resorts (by the beach). Being able to chill out on your deck in a lush forest was amazing. The room itself was large and fairly modern, with good WiFi throughout the complex (no web meeting issues). Most of the staff was excellent and friendly.

I didn't find the reception staff friendly. Again, the maintenance, restaurant and cleaning people were very warm, but reception didn't smile (for whatever reason). I was early and while I didn't expect to get a room, they expressed no level of care (like other hotels) to get me anything early. The room I got (in a fairly vacant, from what I could tell, complex, so there were other options) was right beside a unit under construction repair. The crew was loud with music and stayed late after work just to chat. It was extremely annoying.

We chose this property because of its location and the howler monkeys and we were not disappointed! They were situated right outside our cabin! The pool was gorgeous and general surroundings beautiful! so much wildlife. We are pescatarian and thought the food in the restaurant was yummy and the staff were really lovely!

The cabins themselves could do with a little updating but you pay for the location.

This resort was far enough away from town to truly feel like you were in the jungle. The howler monkeys which other reviews mentioned are true and such a unique experience! We stayed 3 nights and saw/heard them every day. The pool was quiet the oasis on hot days. The rooms were perfect, facing the jungle and angled so that you didn't see another cabin. Epic place!

The room or rather the bungalow was very clean and tidy. The air-conditioning was also working well and my bungalow was close to the swimming pool and dining area which was also convenient. The Wi-Fi was working excellent and you almost have signal throughout the entire resort. The food at the resort was good. The resort is also very close to the ruins and there is a public van which drives from the Palenque city center to the Palenque ruins and you just have to wave your hand to get in. It only costs 20 pesos each time you get in.

The gaps under the door have for the most part been properly closed so insects cannot come in. However the "front door" which is locked had a little gap through which cockroaches can still come in. It would be nice if the breakfast would be included as the resort is the only place where you can have breakfast.

The property is amazing! We could hear the howler monkeys as soon as we arrived. The pool was fantastic as well! Although some staff are not that friendly, others definitely are, like the guy who helped us with our suitcases when we arrived.

Some of the staff are not that friendly. One mentioned that there were issues with paying by card, but when I answered that I did not have cash, all of a sudden it worked again… also when asking questions beforehand about tours and stuff, the answers were really short. Cocktails and food aren’t that good, though still okay.

This was our third time to Chan Kah. We love it there. The pool is so picturesque, and this year there were baby monkeys playing in the trees near the pool. And, we also saw the macaws. We love the setting in the jungle, with our own private bungalow.

I wish the hotel would use fewer plastic bottles. Maybe each guest could get one at check in and then have to fill them from a garafon. For an ecohotel, there is too much wasted, single use plastic.

the location is really nice, the pool is amazing, the apartments spacious and quiet clean.

there are animals around (ants in the toilet, snake in the balcon and monkey sound) but you are in the middle of the jungle, so is not a surprise and I personally liked them. they didn’t have info for local trips, staff was ok, not extremely helpful. electricity went off because thunderstorms, but was part of the adventure. no fridge.

Easy check-in. Individual chalets in the forest were really nice. I didn't use the swimming pools but there were plenty of them. Restaurant was pleasant and the on-site Starbucks was a good option for breakfast. We loved the fact that there were monkeys in the trees above the chalets in the morning. Very convenient for the Palenque archaeological site.

The chalets were a bit 'tired and the floors were uncomfortable to walk on with bare feet.
