Best Western Hotel Plaza Matamoros

The location is great even though is far from my work it's great because it's in a safe place. I loved the room it has everything and the TV is great along with all of the furniture! (Oh and also loved the snack machine at the end of the hallway) Staff service was amazing and really a well enjoyable stay.

Breakfast was great! Though I think the hour that it begins is somewhat late, for me I'd prefer it to begin earlier because I have to be at work by 7 so that means I don't have time to have breakfast (I did try it out on my first morning tho!) And the wifi could be so much better because it was lacking connection and some pages wouldn't load and my laptop couldn't even connect at all.

I like the rooms and the location. The staff was friendly and willing to help. They have 24 hour service that is a big plus. The area looks safe at least during my stay. I'll book again when visit this city.

Actually this is more a suggestion to put more attention to details. The food pictures on the app make us think that the breakfast includes pancakes at least but it is not, you have to order that from the restaurant, Please be more accurate with that. My reservation was for 4 adults and they only put 2 towels on my room, therefore I had to ask everyday for more towels. Also the room description says it includes Iron and there was none. I have to go to the front desk and ask for one.

Very decent, comfortable hotel. The room was comfortable enough and clean.

Breakfast was included in the price. They gave me one banana, small bottle of yogurt and few cookies . How in the world you call it Breakfast??? Well, I went to the store, bought a bread, cheese and a ham. A then I made myself sandwiches. Now this is breakfast. Tho hotel wasn't bad, but too pricey considering that they cheated me with my breakfast. It should be cheaper then.

the room is very comfortable and the location gives opportunity to find a variety of restaurants with delicious food

I don’t like it’s the second time I have to park my car in the parking lot that’s like a block away from the hotel and it looks very dangerous cuz it doesn’t even have a security guard to look out for the cars or to even check if someone goes in or out they should make it more comfortable so the people who have to park there feel safe walking to the hotel and parking their cars in that area

Comfortable… The bed/pillows -exceptional, very clean room, safe and secure hotel and area and secure parking. The Staff were Professional and warm. The breakfast was Continental, not what I was expecting, yet filling…. Oatmeal, toast, fruit, cafe.

Except that I thought the booking on Booking included a Full Breakfast vs Continental….Great Hotel to stay if one is going across the Border into/from USA

I really enjoyed the location. It was walking distance from the Juarez Shopping Plaza. The pool area is an excellent place to relax at night. The hotel restaurant served good quality food at reasonable prices. The hotel staff was friendly and attentative. I will definitely stay here again.

One HUGE area of improvement for toursist, for some reason there's no taxi or shuttle service after 8pm. Seems like the city shuts down. If planning on visiting the night life bars, you'll have to walk. Thankfully Matamoros seemed very peaceful at night.

Nice clean spacious room and bathroom.

The only issue was the single hot/cold faucet in the shower that would not regulate temperature at all. It was either scalding hot or freezing cold and kept alternating throughout non-stop. It's a known issue with those types of faucets though.

The location and the property having a gated parking lot.

I checked into my reservation late at night and I asked the time of breakfast in the morning. Front lobby staff stated breakfast was until 1100am. My wife and I went down for breakfast and I told by a different front lobby breakfast was up to 1000am. I was extremely upset for wrong information and known taking responsibility for it.

When I checked in I was gonna pay,, she stated that the rate on booking which was $45, doesn't include taxes,I was gonna pay cash she said it would be $51, I decided to pay with the credit card & the charge on my card was $45, so what does that mean that she was gonna keep the difference. I've stayed here before and this time they didn't have many options as far as breakfast, there were only two persons working and they couldn't keep up with all the guests in the restaurant. I.e. the guy offered me a naranjada, I said yes he never brought it, also never came to offer refill on my coffee. Also apparently no hot water in my room,.

The staff was absolutely amazing. I arrived very early and was very surprised that they let me into the room right away oh, I mean I was there about 10:30 in the morning usually hotels even if the room is ready won't let you in until maybe one super nice on their part. I had an issue with the hot water and the staff responded immediately and always had a smile on their face.

I really can't fault the hotel much at all the city of Matamoros it's not the prettiest place in the world and that detracts from the hotel.
