Hotel Chellah

Located on a relatively quiet street, Chellah was our first stop in Marocco. The reception and restaurant staff were welcoming and friendly, most conversant also in English or French. Our room was spacious and the windows shuttered from the street. The breakfast room is beautiful, with plenty of options and good Maroccan coffee. Beds and pillows were comfortable and the room kept spotless every day. The bar and pool area are great for relaxing after a day sightseeing. About 100m away on the same street is Omeza.. a wondrous surprise coffee, cake and icecream extravaganza! The medina and Gand Socco is about 15 mins walk away.

Great location. beautiful pool. My room had a nice view. Breakfast had some good options. Loved the A/C because it was a little but hot in the city.

They didn't change our sheets. A lot of the stuff in the room was broken (plugs/curtains/shower plug/window handle). The price was kind of high for these problems. But the good definitely outweighed the bad.

too noise, you can heard everithing from outside and other rooms, doors. also when you back to the room from outside, the room smeels really bad from the shower side

I must say, I rather liked this hotel. It's ever so convenient, being just a stone's throw away from the town center. The staff, quite the professionals, they were. And the cleanliness, top-notch, I must admit.

The elevator, it's a bit on the antiquated side, rather creaky, if you ask me. My room happened to be on the 5th floor, and the noise from that ancient elevator's engine was dreadfully loud. And as for the room itself, well, it was quite petite, just 20 square meters, which felt rather cramped.

In the center of the new town, but close to the medina, the rooms are comfortable and the pool and the garden are a have of peace away from the busy streets of the city. I have stayed here before and will come here again. The staff are helpful and friendly. Good restaurants are close by for an evening out. The hotel breakfast is good.

It was all good. If you are alone, some of the single rooms can be quite small. Try to get a room with a balcony overlooking the garden, rather than one facing the side street.

We recently spent 3 nights here. The hotel is like an oasis in Tangier with a huge garden and outdoor area with pool ,bar and a very good restaurant. The rooms were large and well appointed and ours had a lovely view over the garden. Staff were friendly and helpful. Included breakfast was also plentiful.

Been many times ,great location, generally friendly and helpfull staff. Hotel is 3 star , bit dated, but has nice pool and garden, day 2 , got a good room with nice balcony, Entertainment in garden.in evening .

Room quality and amenties vary, First night in a very small pokey room. Entertainment not very moroccan!

amazing location, plenty of parking places, good breakfast, helpful and nice staff

no hairdryer, that’s a big problem if you travel with the wife, my advise to the hotel managers, a hairdryer doesn’t cost much but changes many things.

The hotel is very good! It really exceeded our expectations! At night there were concerts and a outdoor restaurant, it was an incredible vibe! The property is actually in good shape (there were some leakages from the AC but nothing much). We really enjoyed it!
