Hotel de Kastanjefabriek

Good facilities and the breakfast was great, Gluten Free bread available on request and plenty to choose from for the others in the party, and very good bread for them, I was quite envious. It is a lovely location the main road runs quite close but does not seem to disturb during the night. Great area for walking or cycling. This was our second visit and plan to go there again on our trip in May 2023. There is a very good restaurant opposite the hotel.

For our needs I do not think anything could be improved, the rooms had all we needed and could easily meet the needs of a longer stay if that were planned. It might have been good to have access to more UK TV but I am aware how difficult this can be so it is not an easy option for the hotel to make available.

The room had ample space and easy access to sockets for recharging. The mattress was very good. The bathroom contained a good shower without a threshold for entry. Breakfast was fine. The parking area still had space when I came back late in the evening. The park is attractive.

The lift is modern but for me holds the record for slowness and for engagement of its occupant in keeping the button pressed down until arrival at the floor of destination. There is also a bar ideally placed for leaning on which says "Don't lean". Perhaps the lifts atrributes are a humorous reference to the days when the Kastanjefabriek was a factory.

We were very surprised to discover such a fantastic place which has been presented as B&B instead should really be as four star Hotel. Excellent value and wonderful breakfast.

Very things are wonderful.

This hotel is B & B hotel only at present but it has a bar and coffee facilities. It has only been opened 4 - 5 years and has been evolving since then. The rooms are very well appointed with Tea & Coffee making facilities. I need Gluten free products and when I asked I was immediately offered 2 choices of roll, brown or white freshly cooked. the breakfast offered multiple choices and my wife and son who is vegetarian had plenty of choice. The environment was really nice with good walks around. Many cyclists had stayed overnight on their tour and good storage for the bikes was available. As the hotel did not offer meals we tried the "Grand Plaza" opposite and had an excellent meal for 35 euro including as much beer or wine as wished, soft drinks were also included There was a large variety of foods on offer on a self service basis with some main courses cooked on demand. There were alternative restaurants nearby.

I can think of nothing that these young owners could do better, I met the father of the female half of the owners and heard some of the background to the purchase and complete renovation & re-build and it is amazing. I think that they have planned and executed the development very well which is there are no "Could do Better", I hope that they are able to keep it up.

An amazing place and hotel. It is very cute, clean, surrounded by nature. The birds were singing in the evening so loud and sweet! All around is relax and nature: river, forest, a lot of trees, flowers… There are many benches on the territory and you can relax on them. We bought a breakfast on the reception and it was good value for money, tasty croissants 🥐, pancakes, scrambled eggs and so on, even fresh blueberries and strawberries 🍓. Near the hotel there is Lidl so you could also buy some things there.

Maybe the noise isolation as in the morning and in the late evening I heard my neighbors upstairs ;) but it was not critical to me.

Clean rooms. The building is old and has history, however the hotel in it is brand new. Everything looks new, unused and super clean. Great staff, great value for money. Excellent breakfast with great coffee. Vending machines present for late night snacks, drinks and health products. Rooms look nice and I had a couch to watch tv on the big flatscreen.

I'm always critical but this time I can not think of anything.

What a hidden gem. We were travelling across Europe from Finland to the UK and booking budget hotels on the day. This one looked nice and was on our way. For the price there was a brilliantly comfortable and spacious room in a wonderful looking building. Even the grounds are super well kept.

Not much, the vending machines didn't seem to work and the stairs were a bit creaky, but these are just nit picks.

Room spacious and comfy. Bed was good and I liked the bedding covers. Good quality linen. Breakfast was excellent with enough choices for everyone. Good tea and coffee facilities in room. Hotel is located in quiet surroundings. Hotel was a very good first impression at the start of my 4 week holiday.

Missed a make-up mirror in bathroom. No light in kitchen.

- the jacuzzi - Specious room well furnished and spacious bathroom.

- Soundproofing (I could hear each time when someone was closing a door) - The dropped celling spoils the effort put into decorating the room.

The breakfast was scrumptious.They had quite a lot of varieties.The room had beds which was comfortable and there was a fridge which was a really good thing.

Everything was awesome just the elevator was slow and needed to push the button of the floor’s number until it is on your floor. No offense but maybe they can have a bit more faster elevator.
