Hotel De Kroon Gennep

This hotel exceeded my expectations entirely, they could charge an additional €50 and I'd still think it was good value. The Staff are exceptional and made great recommendations for the food and drinks. The rooms are spacious and comfortable with wonderful coffee making facilities in the room. The location I think is perfect if you want to experience true Dutch culture, it is right next to the clock tower, so you get to hear the chimes and rings of bells every hour. The street which the hotel is on is closed to regular road traffic, so usually only pedestrians and bicycles are going past making the area extremely pleasant to just sit and watch the world go by. I cannot recommend this hotel enough 10+/10

I didn't like that they had only 3 stars, they deserve at least 4!! I would give them 5!

Incredible value for money. We had the room with a small balcony and a view of the city council building. The room was spacious. It was warm, despite it being in the middle of the energy crisis in Europe, and it was freezing outside (yeah sure, you can say you should be able to take it for granted, but i felt at this price one could expect far less). Despite not making a booking the staff managed to find us a table at the restaurant downstairs where we enjoyed a very good meal. The restaurant is very popular with locals, so probably a good idea to eat there, we sure were satisfied.

We arrived on a holiday Sunday at the height of afternoon drinks. Despite being very busy the staff were excellent and made us feel welcome. The room was great with a balcony looking up and down to the ancient market square. We loved it. Lovely relaxing afternoon followed by a quite night and a good breakfast. All the staff we dealt with were friendly and helpful Great stay.

I had fallen off my bike on the way and had an appointment to go to the hospital. Since I was not able to get a taxi the owner's father drove us (10 minutes) there and picked us up again. That kind of service deserves more than 10 points! Our room was very big, as were the beds. We had a lovely view of the square and old town hall. There was a very good breakfast buffet in the morning.

The staff is very friendly and the food is exeptional.. especially the coffee and beer. There is free parking just around the corner with a lot of parking lots.

The stairs are quite steep with narrow steps. So you have to walk them carefully, especially with luggage. But that is a minor issue.

I can recommend this accommodation. Great place to stay. Nice hotel. I will come back again.

It is qiute difficult to find parking nearby of the hotel but it is not really big issue.

This hotel is located right in the middle of town, we had a great view of the city hall from our room. The restaurant and Café were very nice and the staff was very helpful and accommodating. The room was comfortable. Highly recommend to stay here

Lovely old hotel, located in historic part of small town. Main restaurant/ bar area is welcoming and social atmosphere. Tables spilling out onto town square. Perfect for our short stay.
