This was one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at!! The town was absolutely adorable and the hotel did not disappoint. We rented 2 rooms and both were beautifully renovated. Comfortable beds, stylish decor, modern bathrooms plus breakfast included! Plus the sense of history as the Old Town Hall was very fun, and well respected by the owners. I cannot fault anything, our stay was absolutely perfect. My only regret is that we only stayed 1 night! Highly recommended, you won’t be disappointed

Beautiful big room with a huge comfy bed, sitting and kitchen area. The location was perfect for us with easy parking. We arrived later than planned on our first night but our apologies gently brushed away, we were welcomed and shown to our room. Breakfast was delicious, and plentiful once we worked out how to use the order form properly (put numbers, not ticks, in the boxes!)! The highlight of breakfast was proper, barista-made coffee served by the friendliest staff imaginable. Thank you Shirley and Kelly!

There were a few very minor issues, none of which would deter us at all from a return visit. Our experience here was overwhelmingly positive. Firstly, our room was beneath the breakfast room, meaning that a lie-in, if you are a light sleeper, could be a challenge. Secondly, there was no light above the kitchen area. We could see that this had been noted before as a couple of magnetic battery-powered lights had been placed on the underside of the lowest shelf, but we couldn't get them to work. Lastly, the safe wasn't fixed down inside the cupboard. The last two issues are easily solved with a bit of DIY and new batteries, and of course we could just choose an upstairs room next time!

The property is an old city hall that has been beautifully transformed into a hotel without loosing its charming character. The staff is extremely helpful and very friendly. The room was very well laid out and very comfortable. Although one hears the bell ringing every half hour, it adds to the charm of the building. The owners managed to keep the original city hall chamber for the breakfast room, which makes the stay very interesting and exciting. The surrounding was extremely peaceful and quiet, and with only a 10 minutes drive gets you to the waterfront with some really nice restaurants and local cuisine. We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this to anyone who enjoys a good rest in a historic building with friendly staff.

The breakfast was very varied and good, with excellent service. One has to decide in the evening of what you prefer to eat for breakfast, which is great. We only found that the bread was not as nice as the other choices and were missing to try out the local sourdough breads.

Some of the in-room facilities lack privacy for Southern Europeans , but i guess it's just cultural differences The lack of total air separation from restrooms to rest of room can be problematic ( noise, smell etc. ) , so some VMC or closing the higher part would help

The staff was very accommodating of all our questions and asks and the bed was super comfortable.

The room had no real partition to the bathroom, I would have been more comfortable with a "real" bathroom. Breakfast needed to be ordered the day prior, which we understand from a business and ecological standpoint but as guest we didn't enjoy this. It was ready to bake roles and really not that big of a fuss.

Really great building renovated with love to Details. Super friendly staff. Great breakfast - to choose a la carte is a very smart way to avoid food waste!

Could be more eco-friendly, e.g. single packed butter and milk for coffee

Very clean and nice little hotel. Not so far away from the big cities. Good breakfast with plenty of choice. Easy to park the car. Recomended for the visits.

Toilet in some rooms are extremelly small.

Very loud guests in room above us from 1AM through 2AM despite a polite inquiry asking if any assistance was needed. (We thought there was a fire or other urgency, but ot was an excess of alcohol.)

the building itself was absolutely gorgeous. we liked that it was small with just 8 rooms. we also likes the snack area.

we loved the property but our room didn’t have working heater and we were really cold and there was no one we could ask for extra blankets. we had to sleep with a wool jumper on and this made our evening and night i enjoyable
