Van der Valk Hotel Gilze-Tilburg

wonderful spa - very comfortable and spacious room - i had a spa tub in my bathroom - the outside pool, sauna, jacuzzi, steam bath are awesome even in the winter when it cold you can still enjoy the outdoor hot tub that is 42 Celsius - there is also an indoor pool with indoor spa so you can choose from outdoor spa and indoor spa - all these facilities are free of charge - there are also good massage and spa treatments that suits everyone’s need - although i was on a business trop traveling for work, it was great enjoying all these facilities - dinner prices are reasonable, breakfast is expensive - I’d like to inform you that this hotel is huge and has several wings: basic, superior, royal and i think a couple more - wonderful location not too far from my company.

the only downside to this hotel is the friendliness of the staff especially at the reception these girls don’t even know what smiling means and don’t even know how to be customer friendly - they are very unfriendly an this is a pity for such a nice hotel with all these wonderful facilities - I’d say get yourself a better staff group especially at the reception

easy access with parking

The hotel telephoned and emailed me at 19.00 hrs to say my room was reserved only until 18.00 and if they did not receive confirmation from me the room booking would be cancelled. Not very easy to pick up the message as I was flying and really quite threatening as I had confirmed my booking with my credit card - could do better

Our room was very spacious, the bathroom was great. We had a spa bath and a rain shower which were both great. The hotel’s location was nice, the staff was friendly and we didn’t have to wait long for our food.

Breakfast buffet was a bit of a let down because there wasn’t as much choice as we’re used to seeing at Van der Valk hotels. The quality of the food also wasn’t that great either, but it was still fine.

Everything was great in this hotel. The hotel is huge but it is possible to park near the building with your room. The breakfast was great with a great variety of food and drinks. For the evening there was a bar with a good choice of drinks. The swimming pool is also there with a sauna but most of relax area was closed.

In relax area outside the pool was closed and the whole relax area was a bit outdated. You definitely need a car if you plan to stay in this hotel. Otherwise, everything was just great and can recommend for anyone.

The staff are very friendly, helpful and go above standard expectations to accommodate your requests.

a small thing but worth noting, the hallway linking our wing to the main building is extremely warm due to the solar gain from the windows. Some window film or net curtains would solve this

Room with balcony, big bathroom with bath and shower! We stayed on this trip in VDV Antwerpen and VDV Gent! 10 for service in the Bar and dinner we had.

Twin beds prepared as a king bed. I have B&B 5***** and when I put twin to king, I have a bottom sheet with an elastic that connects the bed so that it doesn't fall in and is comfortable. I also have mattress topper. My Guests are very satisfied!

The hotel is 10 minutes from the center of Tiburg it is very cozy it has a Casino gym it is also very good I really liked the Lake it is close to a lot of nature you will like it I recommend it

The rooms are very big and clean. Good burgers. Lots of facilities for any kind of weather. Indoor and outdoor pool with warm water, same as an jacuzzi. You have the posibility to rent a bike as well. Sport facilities. Nice restaurant view, there is a lake around.

Food menu variety can be improved. At this moment are few types of dishes.

The staff is very professional and friendly. The hotel is clean and inviting. It also has a lot of amenities to offer, like a bowling center.

It's not close to town, so that's the only downside.

The rest of out visit was really pleasant and I would come back. Swimming pool was not too crowded, gym had good selection of equipments, rooms were clean and spacious, food was very tasty (with exception of coffee). The whirpool bath and shower is to die for.

The pillows were very used and had no essence to them. Not a problem for me, as I can sleep on a rock, but my boyfriend had two not the nicest nights. The gym was a bit outdated and young waitresses during dinners were more interested in flirting with their colleagues instead of working. Beware of coffee at breakfast 😂
