Auckland Newmarket Motel

I liked the location - was approx 6 minutes from the supermarket & have shopping close by. The room was clean, warm & beds were comfortable. The bathroom was an excellent size & shower stall plenty large enough. We were attending a cat show & finding a hotel prepared to allow our cats to stay for a reasonable cost was excellent

The parking was a little tight especially since another guest parked across the bays which made getting our SUV into the adjacent space extremely tricky

The staff were really wonderful, friendly and helpful. The rooms were very nice, luxurious, clean and had sky., Free parking was available. The location was great - super convenient, and it made a big difference to our experience of auckland.

Getting into really tiny nitpicky things, it was hard to balance the hot water in the shower and there was relatively low pressure, but that is the case for most motels, and probably especially so in auckland.

The motel allowed pets, at extra cost. This suited our needs for the long journey ahead. Staff were very helpful. The family suit was ideal, as it gave us enough space for all our luggage and cats. The upstairs bedroom was excellent and the bed very comfortable. Bathrooms were clean and tidy.

There was some tiredness in the fittings e.g. curtains and it was cold in the downstairs area due to a broken panel heater.

there’s no extraction fan so the window has to be open which then maybe the smoke comes in because the room smelt like smoke. The room looks like it’s had some work done, but it’s not finished. needs a good sand and good paint job. parking is very tight.

The room was spacious, very clean, decor is inviting, quiet and private. Relaxing with great tv reception, wifi , sky and great neighbours who are friendly, and kind. Thank you for the wonderful experience and bookings are better done online. Hassel free service. Many compliments on staff who are behind the scenes ensure your stay is most comfortable.

Nothing was a problem, everything was exceptional.

One of the very few motels that genuinely allow pets for a small fee. With this in mind, you wouldn't know it was pet friendly as the cleanliness was high.

Soundproofing between walls is better on lower level than upper floors. People smoking outside drifts through open bathroom windows and I found it hard to shut this window as I am short! Shutting the bathroom door didn't work either was the door kept rattling and self opening - was a windy day.

We loved it as it accommodated my family and and also my fur babies. Also it was central to everything that we wanted to do while staying there. Excellent hosts. Will definitely be going back. Thanks for everything Auckland New Market Motel.

Room adequate for my needs, bed comfortable, location ideal. Staff very helpful. I was able to have my bags locked away before check-in and after check-out until I needed them.

Room layout, good linen, bathroom, outside patio accessible, AC unit.

Beds mattress a bit worn out n soft. No small dining table or no small bench next to fridge toaster kettle etc, only a desk with one chair and a unused low entertainment unit table.

Friendliness of the staff. Could hear traffic but that’s expected being on a busy road. Nothing the tv couldn’t help with. Room was huge. 2 bathrooms. Comfy beds. Definitely would stay here again. Close to hell’s pizza and some other restaurants
