Too many people in one room other than that probably one of the better hostels I've stayed In Auckland, in terms of social, facilities , location. Customer service etc

Staff interaction was very very good and they were very accommodating and understanding . can not fold them at all very clear instructions and a very safe place to be good internet access also kitchen was kept very clean at all times a very pleasant place to hang out if you have not a lot to do plenty fridge space etc can highly recommend

Staff had good eye for tidyness and cleaningness and bathrooms were kept tidy and clean while I was there.. that was all on the ground level ..... BUT one advise ... look a bit higher up All the lamps have a layer of dust on them voor a long long time . The one next to my bed I dusted of ... :) Bed matress is actually great .... however the pillows are a bit small for the situation .. it falls away in the space between wall and matress ... but I guess that space could also be filled for private articles of the hostel guests ...

Central location on K Road, bus stop right outside the entrance. Lots of cafes & restaurants around, only about a 20 minute walk to Queens Street. Staff were friendly & approachable and property was kept clean and tidy during my stay. WiFi was not the best, but wasn't a major issue.

Noise from crackheads at all hours of the night, they like to hang out directly outside the property during the day too. There is also 2 night time venues across from the property, so can get quite loud on the weekends.

Great location and nice little kitchen and common area. I liked that the front door was locked and had a code for entry. The beds had privacy curtains, individual lights, and an outlet for each which was very nice. Very central neighborhood

The bathrooms smelled weird and the neighborhood was a tiny bit sketchy (but also super centrally located). I was not out at night very late so I felt safe whenever I was around but later might be different. It was also very loud in the neighborhood on weekends at night (even like 4am)

A nice room in a good location. The ensuite was very tidy. The room had a TV with live TV channels on it. The room had about everything we needed. There was also bag storage downstairs, however, this was quite full and didn't seem very secure (although the front door was locked, so things could only be stolen by other guests).

There were a lot of stairs to get to our room, so this probably isn't a good location if you have mobility issues or heavy bags. The sink in the ensuite bathroom had quite a bit of mould growing on the back of it. The sink was also very small (couldn't fill up my drink bottle) so you have to get your face quite close to the mould if you want to wash your face. I've seen a lot of reviews about noise from people outside, however, this wasn't so bad from the top floor.

The location was excellent, right next to the bus stop to the city and a 5 min walk from Queen Street. Room was really cosy, curtains for privacy on your bed and a good sized locker. Baggage storage before and after check out too was great! Shower was warm and powerful and hostel was clean

Disappointed that I couldnt check in earlier than 1.40pm, after I asked 3 weeks in advance. They did say it would depend on the availability of the bed the night before so guess that's fair enough, just disappointing as I was tired after travelling all night. Noise from bars and clubs a little loud, but nothing they can do about that as it's right on K Street!

Good choice for a one night stay, stayed in a twin room with en-suite to go to cricket at Eden park. CBD walkable or buses off rainbow bridge. Krd has lots of options for coffee, food and going out. Felt secure with them regularly changing front door passcode.

There’s only an open window and fan for air con and it was hot. Could be cleaner overall. Insisting on a passport for check in when I’m a kiwi is weird. We use backpackers too.

Convenient location, walkable to city center / Ponsonby / Newmarket / Parnell Dorm beds allow some privacy thanks to curtains + each bed has its own lamp and electrical plug A lot of free food (left by previous backpackers) at your disposal in the kitchen, also well equipped kitchen The hostel collects items backpackers don’t need anymore to give away to arriving travelers so you could find something you need for free (clothes, travel guides, books, ..), they also gave free SIM cards Staff was nice

Cleanliness in the bathroom area could have been better Some dorms (including the big 20 beds one) were at the underground level The hostel lacked a place to hang out at night as the kitchen/sitting room was close for cleaning every night from 10pm to 11pm

Clean, comfortable, friendly. I particularly liked the ‘curtained’ bunks to give more privacy and the individual bed lights and sockets. Also liked the fact that although full, there are not too many people so no queues for kitchen or bathroom spots.

The property is located at the seedy end of notorious K Road. And it certainly lived up to its name while I was there. The fighting, shouting and swearing from the ‘colourful’ K Road characters was co tenuous through the night as was the traffic so not a peaceful place to stay, especially with windows open for ventilation. Drug dealing going on out side the door and under the windows - not a great area to a good around outside the backpackers at night.

I stayed in a room for 12 people and was amazing. The room is spacious as well as the beds. Each bed has their own plugs and light which make the life easier for any traveler, also the bed has curtains. The kitchen is good, you have everything for cook. Keep on mind that the front desk close at 5 pm but there is always someone to help you. I arrived late and they was really helpful.
