Mountain View Motel

While this motel is not modern, this was actually a bonus as the facilities provided were exactly what I was looking for (and often lacking in many new motels) - lots of space to fit a comfy sofa, generous sized table and chairs and a proper kitchen area with a full sized oven and plenty of cooking equipment. The bed was comfy, the water pressure lovely and the location is very near the lake and town centre. Excellent value.

Great location, very comfy bed & lovely hot shower with plenty of pressure. It was clean & tidy.

Unit could do with some updating - I remember that type of window being popular in the 1970's, & wall cupboard doors needing attention. But it is only the cosmetics - the important things of comfy bed & strong shower pressure outweigh any negatives.

We were moved from a ground floor unit to a studio on the first floor - the room was huge. A double and two singles were available and on a clear day there would be amazing views towards the lake.

The room was pretty dated but we didnt spend much time in it. Be aware that the bathroom withing the studio isnt separate (walls dont go up to the ceiling). If you were just travelling with friends then that might be an issue (privacy).

We liked the parking spot right by the front door, room sizes, overall layout, kitchen amenities, shower pressure, cleanliness and free wifi. We also loved the service - coming back to an empty bin, clean face towels, toilet paper top up was an awesome surprise! Very grateful for that.

One of the bedrooms backs onto the bathroom and it was quite noisy when the toilet flushed.

Fairly worn , but very spacious units . For us the befit was having (2) bedrooms downstairs , and having a couple more beds upstairs . Very roomy kitchen , reasonable sized lounge plus a balcony .

Parking is a bit tight , but okay .

Unit was very clean and tidy. Very quiet location.

Water pressure in shower was low when you moved it to get more hot water. Walls were a little thin could the person in the unit next door coughing.

Huge two story living space with lots of room for all of us. Very clean and tidy inside and out. Beautiful views over lake Taupō and the mountains beyond. Very quiet neighbourhood in walking distance to centre. Good value for money for what it was.

Room was a bit dated and in need of some maintenance.

Actually it was ideal for us as we travelled from Wellington and short notice booking. Nice and quiet, very suitable for the 3 of us, close to town. Real value for money and exceeded our expectations. Definitely stay again

For what we needed there is nothing that needed to change, it had all the things we required with plenty of space.

Spacious accommodation with good amenities, particularly the kitchen. Nice view from the balcony, centrally located

Decor was a bit dated, car park spaces a bit tight, but these were minor points.

Clean and tidy rooms with good carpets and nice linen. Property was quiet and enjoyed our stay with one of our kids being autistic . Parking and Access to the rooms were convenient. Staff are very good and ready to help in anyway they can. Room service was also regular and very good.

Not having a kitchen sink and having to wash dishes/coffee mugs in bathroom.
