Coastal Motor Lodge

With the exception of one disturbed night (see below) our stay was enjoyable. The range of Sky programs was excellent. The Kitchen facilities were also excellent.

The rear windows did not appear to have a secure catch. The sound insulation from the room above was poor.

Very clean, characterful buildings, with generous balcony, nicely kept gardens, beautiful small beach opposite, comfy armchairs and plenty of space, nice little kitchen. Good supply of fans for warm nights - much more eco friendly than air-con. Perfect for us.

Plastic outdoor seating would work better- the rustic metal design was rusting. I like to eat at a table inside, a useful addition would be a drop leaf table and a couple of dining chairs.

We had the ground floor apartment which we saw catered for disabilities - very roomy unit that would accommodate someone with a wheelchair and the bathroom has a 'Wet Floor', also catering for anyone not able to climb into or out of a shower box or bath. Beds were very comfy. An added bonus is the view of the ocean from the garden seating outside the unit, looking across the road from the chalets and units.

Not a biggie, but wished there was some hand wash in the bathroom. No big deal though.

Great view of the Rose Garden. The location was nice and quiet, especially having a car - lots of park spaces. Pool great for kids. Brilliant for going for a walk.

Short staffed at the time and the room was not really cleaned properly on our arrival. (spillage in the fridge not cleaned up and carpet not vacuumed) Had to go to the reception to get a remote as there was not one in the room.

View from the property was excellent , property is directly opposite to little park and we enjoyed watching a great sunset from the park and had a very enjoyable walk after dinner .Property has a wonderfully kept garden where you can seat and do little picnic. Thames Restaurant and Shops are just a few mins drive , also there is a dairy in walking distance that remains till late night. Location is very convenient . Chalet had a nice little well equipped kitchen and seating area was separated from bedroom via a wall - which was really cool.

Room had cobwebs and wardrobe + hangers were a bit dusty , but we did not mind much as we were staying just for the night and did not report that and request a clean up, unfortunately woke up with a bug on the bed which was bit unpleasant, but that is no fault of the property caretakers , as we kept the windows opened overnight so bugs might have got in .

Great location a short drive to Thames township. Rooms were spacious and the view was great (enjoyed watching a spectacular sunset). Staff were friendly and rooms were clean and tidily presented.

Bathroom is quite small and some insect screens on the windows would be helpful as the bush backdrop attracts the insects (insect spray is kindly supplied however).

The view was nice along with the location. The normally provided breakfast was a nice add however as we stayed during the Christmas period there was no breakfast service which is fair enough.

We were unable to use the TV which could just be for our room.

Great quiet spot, good outdoor facilities in grass area for big kids and outdoor seating area. Cute A-Frame units. Gorgeous bush backdrop and stunning sunset. Would stay again.

The rooms were too dimly lit, plug socket on one side of the bed was too difficult to get to - needed to pull the bed out to access

It was a great chalet to stay in and a lovely view of the water. It was really comfortable and has all of the kitchen facilities. Loved being able to sit out and have a glass of wine in the afternoon on the verandah. Close to the town area too.

We stayed in the middle of winter, in a spacious, cosy cottage with 2 bedrooms, ideal for 3 of us. The landlady brought us fresh milk for our breakfast and an extra blanket for my mother to keep warm while watching Tv. Plenty heater and heat pump in the unit felt warm and comfortable. Lovely se view from the veranda with table and chairs. Very happy stay.

Nothing we didn't like. It would be good if they upgraded the 2 old fashion taps in the bathroom sink and fit a single mixer.
