Hotel Alcatruz

breakfast was good. Good enough for one day.Place was very clean. lovely large bed with good linen.

After arrivel we went to wash our hand. there was no hot water in the sink tap.There was no Bidet in the bath room. We had to wash in the shower.But there was no hot water in the shower. It was not very nice to wash with cold water. We thought they will put some hot water in the evening. We went out for dinner. Before going to bed we went fot shower.No hot water.No one at work in the hotel at that time.Every thing is locked and gone. Following morning I called one cleaning lady. She was very surprised that there is no HOT WATER. Owner came and gave me the key for the next room and we had a hot shower. NOT A VERY NICE EXPERIENCE.

A nice business hotel in a small town. The owner welcomed us and showed hospitality. There is a nice restaurant close by that's worth the walk to the end of town (Batata Doce) very reasonable and nice high quality food . This was recommended by the owner who also has a fabulous bakery and coffee shop next to the hotel. The room was absolutely fine for our overnighter and we were well rested .

Some of the rooms road side are a little noisy but that can't be helped

The guy at reception was extremely helpful, he literally told us all about the area and the restaurants and he was supernice and friendly. Breakfast was outstanding to be a small hotel. The rooms were great, spacious and comfortable with a nice balcony. Location was good, you can easily reach the parks and the cliffs of the amazing Costa Vicentina.

The room was super pretty, and the stuff were super nice ! My phone charger broke the night before and they lend me one for the night I was there and helped me to find a shop in the next city where I can get a new one. the breakfast was really nice !

I think the hotel is a little bit pricey

The lady that runs the hotel and the next door bakery, staff included!, are simply lovely! Great welcome and treatment throughout our stay. Nice charming hotel and room. Breakfast is beyond words! Served in the best bakery in Alentejo, not to be missed!

Missing a hairdryer only. Bc it is next to a main road, a bit noisy in the morning (trucks passing by) considering the peace and quiet of the area in general... but nothing terrible at all...

very nice employee the evening that we arrived. he was kind and helpful. the room was nicely decorated and clean. the breakfast was very good.

bad sound isolation, loud between rooms. we could hear our neighbours talk in German and they could surely hear us too.

We had one of the studio apartments, nice simple and spacious. Incredible breakfast!

Its noisey, you can hear the neighbouring guests and the road is very busy. You have to sleep with the aircon on and windows closed otherwise you get no sleep.

it was clean and next to main road. nice room and delicious buffet breakfast. quiet and peacfull in the whole building.

it is a bit pricey, smell in room was like in old building. crazy rules at breakfast, wearing gloves at taking food from plates, plus mask…then you can eat without mask at tabes in the same room-non sense at all. long procedure at check in

Great location, amazing breakfast, gentle and warm staff and owner. Clean and Safe. The sympathy and eficciency of the staff and the caring attention of the hotel owner made our stay remarkable. We will be back soon.

Room rather small when fitted with a king sized bed. The balcony compensates for this.

I have stayed at this hotel a few times whilst hiking the coast path - great hotel - I am always treated special and the connection with the patisserie is a great way to start the day
