From the road side very none discripte but once you enter the front door wow what a delight.

Glass fronted bathroom.

An old town property with an inner courtyard, lovingly and tastefully restored. Well maintained and spotlessly clean. And yes, there is a big lemon tree in the courtyard, with comfortable chairs for reading or lounging during the day. Generous breakfast platter with wide selection of fruit and bread. No restaurant, but "Cinderela" (five minutes walk) offers good Portuguese-style meals at affordable prices.

The rooms have lemony names; ours (no. 14) was "squeeze", which describes it well. All facilities were there, but very compact, so not much room for two persons to move about. An extra towel rack in the bathroom would be helpful.

This is a quite quirky hotel decorated to an individual style. It presents as clean and welcoming, but our bedroom, with no access to natural light, was quite gloomy. The room was functional and clean but the bed was on the hard side of firm and uncomfortable. The bathroom was separated by a sliding glass screen which offered little in privacy. The shower was hot and powerful but with only a curtain offered little resistance and part flooded the bathroom floor. The staff were excellent, especial mention to Thais who provided lots of good info on local eateries.

The breakfast was beautifully presented but every day identical, and after day 2 boring.

The Lemon Tree is a little oasis in the busy town of Faro. It has a leafy courtyard and delicious breakfasts - fresh orange juice, fruit and artisan breads with home made jams. A kiwi, lemon and ginger one was particularly memorable. Rooms are stylish with black, yellow, grey and white elements. The 'sweets' are particularly lovely - we loved our glass extension which overlooked the lemon tree which gives the small hotel its name. The kitchen can be used by guests and there is an honesty bar for drinks. The staff were young, multi-lingual and charming and gave us great recommendations about where to eat and explore. We'll definitely go back

We were given a really lovely room with a little balcony and plenty of space. We were able to check in early as the room was ready which made the first day of our holiday as we could head straight into faro for lunch, went to a small restaurant as the lovely host recommended it and it was delicious. Everything was really clean, the staff were lovely and gave great suggestions. Breakfast in the morning was perfect with lovely fresh orange juice and plenty of fresh food. Gorgeous little courtyard with the lemon tree and a lovely sun terrace.

The most welcoming staff I ever met. We got information about the city, other places in Portugal, restaurant recommendations. One of them baked cake for breakfast! There is no door to the bathroom in the room. There was just a partition of glass, which had no soundproofing at all. It is also perfectly seen what you are doing there through glass. So if you prefer being on toilet with some privacy you need to ask your partner to leave the room. Poor internet connection

Welcome Drink at arrival, amazing design thought through to the very end, self-service coffee machine at every time needed, amazing gluten-free options and even a little take away breakfast when we needed to Leave early. Absolute peace even though you stay in the very center of the city. This is how Alice must have felt when she went Info the rabbit hole. Oh, did I mention the great staff who really seems to love and value this place to its fullest.

That we couldn't stay longer. :(

Although aesthetically pleasing, the lighting was not bright enough in room or bathroom I had room one, a double with balcony but was surprised to find it was ground floor level with street.. it was directly next to the pavement and parked cars which was rather odd. Also when I arrived around 3.15pm there was a sign on the front door saying ‘back in 5 mins’ with a phone number on. I waited for around 10 mins Iand then tried door bell and also knocked but no answer. I called the number 3 times but after one ring it just cut out. I tried the door bell several more times over about 20 mins. Eventually someone opened the door. I was told that the phone doesn’t work very well inside the property which is why it cut out.

It was a really lovely, pretty hotel. There are a couple of terraces that you can sit at during the day and evening, and also the breakfast/kitchen area is a lovely space to sit in. The honesty bar was a lovely touch, which included ice creams. The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout my stay. The room was very clean and lovely, it was a little noisy at night time because you could hear everything in the corridors but it did not really affect my stay at all. The breakfast was a nice selection.

Absolutely AMAZING breakfast, coupled with super helpful and friendly staff. We enjoyed great coffee, a hot breakfast, fresh fruit, tasty extras and a lemon cake made from lemons plucked from the very tree in the courtyard wherein we enjoyed our breakfast. We were also kept company by a friendly, well-behaved pup.

The Squeezed room offered very little privacy if you’re on the loo and someone else is in bed. A privacy screen would be preferential to a clear glass wall between both rooms.
