Aroeira Lisbon Hotel - Sea & Golf

Nice new, well decorated hotel in a quiet area close enough to Lisbon. We went back and forth and it never took more that 30 min. We loved the outdoor pool area and that our dog could be with us the whole time. Restaurant staff was very professional and friendly. Our room was quite comfortable even though it was facing the street. Tip: ask for a pool facing room if available.

I'm vegan so I struggled to find vegan breakfast options apart from fruit. Vegan yogurt and more choice of vegan milk would be great, but that's a problem not limited to this hotel. Same for the restaurant. I had one of the two vegan choices for dinner but it was underwhelming - eggplant wasn't cooked well. I had salad for lunch consisting of one type of lettuce, a bit of avocado and some cherry tomatoes, while my partner had a very reach salmon salad with lettuce, radicchio, nuts, capers etc so I was a bit puzzled with that. The mini bar in the room didn't work and we felt that the reception staff need more training. Shower was hard to adjust - it was too hot and then cold and back again.

Great location, within a golf complex, some 30 minutes away walking from a very nice beach called Fonte da Telha. The hotel rooms themselves are large and were clean. Décor is modern minimalist. Staff are very helpful. You can rent bikes at a reasonable price by the hour or for the day. Laundry service was very quick.

No gym in the hotel but you can have access to a gym just 5 minutes walk away for EUR 7/day called Aroeira Fitness Club. They seem to have some kind of agreement with the hotel. Probably best to rent a car as public transportation to Lisbon or other locations is not the best. However, I would say these are small inconveniences as the location, hotel and staff are excellent

Wonderful hotel, very modern, super comfortable rooms, surrounded by tall pine trees. Excellent breakfast with very friendly staff!

We had a very odd - to say the least - interaction with the general manager. She behaved in a totally unprofessional manner, reprimanding her staff in public during breakfast service and in front of the clients - something I believe shows no knowledge of leadership or the hotel business. We intervened because she was clearly not in the right (the young lady had provided me with a box to take a croissant that was in my plate and I couldn’t eat) and the way she talked to me was totally shameful. a general manager should put their clients first. Not this lady- she was abusive and rude. A shame for a hotel this awesome with really friendly staff.

A spacious, classy, elegant and well-designed, airy, light-filled modern hotel with a fabulous pool situated in a spacious and beautiful garden with plenty of places for everyone. Excellent dining facilities and breakfast. Pleasant, comfortable, clean and well-appointed bedrooms. The usual spa and classes available. Well-above the usual corporate chain hotels, more an expanded boutique style. We didn’t have time to travel to the beach close by but those that did reported it excellent and extensive.

Nothing really could have been better but it’s a long and rather complex drive to central Lisbon or the airport (nearly an hour in traffic but plentiful and cheap Ubers available) and a bit in the middle nowhere (we were there for a wedding).

The room was very quiet and for a hotel room it's a major plus. The room was very cosy and the architecture of the all building was great. The staff was very friendly and professional. Nice hotal to travell with a pet. The operational staff were amazing.

The staff manager at the breakfast was not nice. It seamed that she did not wanted to have a pet in the lawn despite it was empty.

Stunning hotel with a lovely pool area. The staff were extremely lovely and the hotel was very clean. Would definitely recommend this hotel for a chilled out holiday for a few days.

The hotel was a good 40 mins (Hilly!) walk to the beach but there was a great hotel bus that would to shuttles but only during the day and not the night. I’m not sure if we just picked a bad evening to attend the hotel restaurant but we didn't go back!!! Staff didn't have a clue what they were doing and my starter came out cold and my husband didn't even receive his. The whole experience was awkward and terrible but when the main meals arrived it was very nice. Lovely restaurant 1 min walk away from the hotel. Air con wasn't good.

This was a fantastic stay! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, the room was absolutely beautiful, the food was delicious, definitely a 10 out of 10! If you’re looking for a place to relax, this is the perfect place. I really liked how quickly the room service would be delivered, their cleaning services are fantastic, and in general the staff at this beautiful hotel will make your stay an extremely pleasant and friendly experience. I loved the pool and massage! Also, if you’re working remotely, it will be the perfect place to work remotely from as their Wi-Fi works well and room service is quick and delicious.

I wish there were an electronic kettle in the room. I like making tea and coffee on my own, but I had to keep ordering it because there was no electronic kettle in the room.

D.Rosalia the resort manager was excepcional. Received me upon arrival and welcomed me. Ensured I had access to whatever was required and treated me very warmly. Another member of staff that was very pleasant was Patricia. I had a situation where I was not feeling too well and has a nose bleed. A member of staff came to supervise me and provided some ice cubes, I am not sure of her name , she is a young female. I would like to thank her for her attention. The resort is beautiful.

The Hotel is very chic, modern and clean. The design of the entire building is breathtaking. Breakfast was very good, many options to choose from. The Hotel has a good size pool. The room is comfortable and big with a very modern design and high-quality hygiene products in the bahthroom.

Half board dinner was not at the Hotel's level and you get every night 2 options to choose from. The hotel doesn't have facilities like transport to the beach or to the city, you need to take uber/taxi/bus. Turists don't get any Broschures or Infos with activities around Lisbon. The Hotel being outside the town you need something more than just a swimming pool. After 10PM you are not allowed to swim or drink outside by the pool. Between 12-14:30 PM the bar is closed. If you prefer to hang out just by the pool I find this place is perfect for you.

We liked the hotel, the pool area was beautiful and the kids were able to play tennis and gold nearby. The room size was small and the bathroom only had one sink with no bath. it was tight for 2 people to be in the bathroom at the same time.

The breakfast was ok, but the coffee machine was awful this really lets the place down. I think for a 4 star hotel they should consider to cook eggs small menu fresh and also to provide fresh cappuccino. The restaurant food was good quality but I think overpriced for the location as the dinning room lacks atmosphere and the portion size of the dinner was small, we were all still hungry after and had to order pudding which then was huge in size and we could not finish.
