The Rebello Hotel & Spa - Small Luxury Hotels Of The World

I really liked this hotel, brand new, comfortable, nice spa, lovely river view and a young and enthusiastic staff who seemed genuinely pleased to be there

The one problem was the length of time it took to get across the river to Porto - there are several options but they are all quite time consuming and all have drawbacks. The river taxi is best but it only runs in the day time and a couple of days didn't run at all. It would be good if the hotel could run its own launch across the river, or at least run a bus shuttle service (You can catch a bus into Porto easily, but coming back they don't seem to stop anywhere near the hotel). You are near all the port lodges though.

The hotel is incredible and it's situated in the perfect location. Overlooking the river with views across Porto, we were absolutely mesmerised every time we stepped out on to our balcony or had a drink at the rooftop bar. The hotel is a great escape from the hustle and bustle of Porto, on the quiet side of the river, whilst still being just a few minutes away from the lively city centre. Our room was beautiful - it had high-end facilities, a very large comfy bed, and we were treated to food and drinks from the get-go. The pool and spa is luxurious - we very much enjoyed some quiet time in the jacuzzi and would highly recommend booking in for a massage! The breakfast was delicious, and the lounge area was perfect for relaxation and socialising. The details in the decoration and decor is amazing. Best of all are the staff. The team at the Rebello are proud of what they've created and they should be! They are incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, professional and friendly. Exceptional!

There was nothing we didn't like - it was the best hotel we have stayed at and we wish we could have stayed longer.

We arrived at this hotel the day they opened. The room was spectacular! Huge with stunning view of Porto, we hardly left it for the remainder of our stay:) Spent lot of time on the terrace, drinking wine and absorbing the beauty of this magnificent city. Visited spa every day; with its swimming pool and sauna it was extremely cosy and relaxing. Breakfast was top notch, they even served kombucha. The staff was extremely nice and welcoming, thank you so much for the fantastic stay!!! Your hotel made our vacation unforgettable.

This hotel has a magnificent prime view of the river and bridge and is situated within walking distance of everything you need to see. It' a new hotel and the staff are very keen and extremely attentive including impeccable room care. The River view room provided a stunning oversight of the port and tbe bridge. Rooftop bar food was great especially the cocktails and the very special Tiramisu desert that was a must have culinary experience! We enjoyed our few days in Porto and this hotel was a very positive part of an overall excellent experience.

The view was fantastic, the staff was well selected and very attentive, parking worked very well, breakfast also great. The design and common areas of highest standard. Great place to chill out.

There is one and only element I really did not like. All the rooms have terraces with the possibility to smoke. As a non smoker and due to moderate winds in Porto, we had to close the windows whenever our neighbors smoked outside (unfortunately very often). The staff understood the complain and tried to help as much as possible, but it is an issue for non smokers if you get wrong neighbours.

We had an absolutely fabulous time. From start to finish we were well looked after and staff did everything possible to ensure we had a restful time at the hotel. They cared about the little things and attention to detail is of the highest standard. We travelled with our dog and they even ensured she was well looked after and anything she needed was provided for in the room. We were given free welcome drinks which we enjoyed on the terrace. The quality of products and items in the room is exceptional and it really felt like an authentic 5 star experience!

All the Staff are polite, friendly, efficient and extremely helpful. The interior design is exceptional quality, with beautiful eclectic and modern pieces. Location is fantastic. Beautiful view of old Porto, the Douro river and Dom Luis bridge. Away from the noise and hassle of old town Porto, but only 10mins by water taxi. Room facing Douro has great river view and outside verandah. Roof top bar has fab views. Delicious food at both bar and restaurant. Great selection of local wine.

Could not find anything to fault.

This is possibly the best hotel we ever stayed at (and we stayed at quite a few). The facilities are exceptional (including the Restaurant, Pots & Pans), but most importantly, the staff is exceedingly helpful. They also provided excellent suggestions for sightseeing (we would never have thought of visiting a sardine factory, but it turned to be a very good recommendation...). The rooms were very spacious, quiet, and well-equipped, with the complementary food and drinks in the minibar as an added bonus.

We had a wonderful stay at The Rebello. We got the room/studio with the view, which was a pleasant view to wake up to. The room was also perfectly designed with an eye for details and clean. The staff were kind and accommodating. When we arrived, we received a tour of the hotel and welcome drinks at the rooftop. Food & drinks in the room were also complementary (only for the opening of the hotel).

At first, the welcome drink was charged. Also, too bad that the access to the spa (pool, jacuzzi & sauna) was max. 30 min.

With its great location on the banks of Douro and its unobstructed view of the Luis I bridge, we found that the Rebello offers an excellent accommodation experience: fabulous breakfasts, rooftop restaurant with splendid views, very comfortable, beautifully furnished and spacious rooms, pet friendly policy and, above all, fantastic staff - alert and always ready to help. It all created a memorable experience of our short holiday in Porto.
