Long waiting for Brunch, Too short Stay ㅠㅠ

Love the big and comfortable room with the traditional style. It's really suitable for families with rabbits and bird feeding in the morning at the compound. The view at the park overlooking the sea was surreal. We booked the glamping dinner for four to celebrate my husband's birthday and it was memorable and the food was awesome and the service from the hotel staffs were impeccable. It's worth the indulgence!

No complimentary slice of cake for birthday celebration. However, We happily bought it from the lobby cafe and the staff arranged for the cake to be sent during dinner which I'm very pleased with their service.

My wife and I came on our honeymoon and it was magical. The staff was amazing. They were so helpful and welcoming. Our room was nice and large. The bathroom was spacious and had a separate tub and shower. The bed was really comfortable. We enjoyed the outdoor terrace and it felt very private. We went to the hotel buffet and was very happy with the food quality and service. We will definitely comeback here again.

I wish they had a shuttle bus from the airport.

The service was excellent from start to end. The housekeeper even greeted us and asked if we needed anything twice during our two-night stay. Very clean, spacious and well-designed room. It was also refreshing to hear bird sounds every morning at the balcony. The hotel has a plenty of facilities and activities that could keep you busy. The weather wasn't nice on our second day of visit, so we spent most of our time at the hotel visiting a mini animal farm and the gallery exhibition as well as enjoying the brunch buffet. After that we went on for the yacht trip (one of the hotel activities ). The swimming pool was also great, not to mention there was live band performance by the pool at night. Overall, expensive but 110% satisfied.

Great location, huge property. Good facilities. Breakfast was excellent. Nice relaxing vibe. Clean though old-fashioned design.

20,000 won for sauna is slightly inappropriate given the already high cost paid for the room. I think the guests should be entitled to one free visit per stay. Hotel is also slightly dated in design although very clean and well furnished — my friend mentioned it feels like it is out of the 1980s…

Place was very huge and had really great views. Rooms were clean and it's a huge plus that it has a balcony. Buffet was pretty good also and had lots of choices. Lots of amenities too like the outdoor pool, sauna, gym, and there was even a basketball court.

Could've had more international channels, really. The hotel is quite old and maybe it's not for everyone that the design is not so modern. The only bad experience we had was the Korean restaurant with the tasting menu since we found it lacking taste considering the price they charged.

Everything on-site costs extra, even a chair at the pool. The restaurants onsite are pretty expensive too(about $45 for the breakfast buffet). We ate at a couple of the restaurants onsite, but the buffet, both breakfast and lunch, were definitely the best. didn’t try the buffet dinner, but wish we would have!

I loved the seaview from my room. Swimming in the heated pool was a special treat. Staff were helpful and friendly. My friends and I had a delicious meal at Hinode Restaurant. We also enjoyed listening to the live music at the lobby area. Our favourite was the cellist.

Jacuzzi was extremely hot at 44 deg C. I had to ask staff to turn down the temperature.

Excellent surroundings and service.

1. A bit expensive comparing to other 6/6 star hotels in the area. 2. A potentially dangerous step at the entrance in the pool-side restroom. Recommend a visual strip and/or a warning sign. 3. A less accommodating policy for early check-out for guests with outside reservation. We had to check out one day early because my wife was ill. We were told that we had to pay for the entire reservation because we booked up with an outside booking agency. One day charge could be waived if the reservation was directly made with the hotel, we were told.

The Shilla Jeju has been my go to place in Jeju since 10 years ago. It is located at a perfect spot to have a great sea view. It’s gardens, private beach, poolside bar all reminds me of all the good memories I had there. Restaurants are nice as well. Of course you can tell that this hotel has been aged in regards to the rooms and building itself. However, I’ll definitely choose The Shilla for every visit to Jeju.
