A beautiful old traditional hotel, with pretty gardens and beaches, an amazing place

Staff very unhelpful , info on services and layout hard to find. Sadly no bar services or even coffee available beyond buffet service , with no drinks facilities in the room either .

The location was excellent. The eating facilities and choice of food was very good. Access to the small beach and Platja D'aro convenient. Pool and snack bar were never overcrowded and kept very clean and tidy.

We had booked two rooms, one with sea views and one standard room with a garden view. On checking in we were told that there were no rooms with a sea view available even though it was on the booking and were subsequently allocated two standard rooms with a view to the rear of the hotel of a roof with air conditioning units and the main road !!!! We complained and were told that they would try to resolve but it never happened. We decided to put up with it!

The staff were excellent. The room we had been allocated was spectacular, but we found the different levels, a key feature of the room, a problem with our mobility issues. The staff could not have been more helpful in transferring us to an equally spectacular and more convenient room. The breakfasts were excellent, dinners a little more demanding. Again, one mobility issue for us, in getting down to the pool area and bar. But we would, if possible, certainly come back.

See above. Stairs to manœuvre to get to the pool - and certainly if you wanted to go to the beach, but that's inevitable if you are built on a cliff and can enjoy spectacular views from a great room terrace.

The location is spectacular and we were sorry to have to leave after four days. We loved the old style (historically Spanish) beautifully maintained interior and exterior. It is not a modern hotel and that is what made is fantastic. It is a beautiful, classic hotel! Everything from the great staff to the view to how well everything was done was perfect. It is located on the edge of the ocean with a coastal path that will take you North or South along quiet coves for swimming or amazing beaches. Town is easily accessible walking or driving. We walked into town each evening (25 minutes) for dinner. The breakfast has extensive hot and cold delicious options and well worth the price. We are so glad we stayed here.

There isn't very much we didn't like about our stay. The lunch and dinner was good, buffet style. We had the dinner buffet one night (26 euros each). It is convenient to have the option but we chose for more variety and walked into town.

The place is kind of paradise...with spectacular view of the see and garden full of variety of tropical plants. The interior is very classy and with the vibe of the passed times. With the lift you can easily get to the stairs witch go directly to the beach side. Our room was cleaned daily with comfy bed, big bath and good view of the see. Food was really delicious with plenty of choices. The staff during eating were very polite, esp. Margarita and the host- girl with curly hair and a charming smile. We enjoyed our stay there.

Be prepared that there are no sunbeds or umbrellas on the beach.

The location is exceptional, away from the town yet within 25 minutes walking. You can take the elevator to get to the beach which is small but beautiful. The views are exceptional. We had a room with a sea view and really liked it. The hotel is very dog friendly, we even received a little welcome package. When we checked in they asked us what time to clean the room, and the cleaning lady respected that time. There are no carpets in the room which is more relaxing in case of an “accident”. The staff was very friendly.

Parking can be difficult and doesn’t encourage you to take your car to go anywhere. At the pool the lounge chairs are way to close to each other. The dinner wasn’t bad but we felt rushed, which is the contrary of what happens in local restaurants. It felt like being in a canteen, the presentation could be improved.

This hotel is amazing from the mind-blowing location, to the great views (mindblowing), amazing atmospheric walks around the area and a great selections for breakfast. The rooms were clean and the hotel is very cozy with many activities (chess, pool table, tennis, peda, spa, saturday night music..). The staff were friendly. In great proximity to the center of town Platja d'aro and also close to other areas such as Begur, Tossa de mar and more. We will definitely be returning.

The shampoo bottles were empty and there was no toilet brush when we arrived in the room. Furthermore the hammam in the spa area needs to be checked out as there seems to be a strange odor in it and the door does not close.

We booked Premium Sea view room via direct site for first 3 days and Hotel kindly provided us with the same room for our stay prolongation, which we booked via Booking. So my feedback is for Premium Sea view room which is important to highlight since rooms are really different and exactly room was the key point why we appreciated this hotel so much. SO, view from the terrace is spectacular! You can`t see or hear anything except amazing sea and beach and we felt ourselves like on some private villa which is literally flying under the sea - full relax! Room is big and comfortable. There is sunbed on the big terrace and this is the best place to sleep under the sea breeze or drink cold vine looking on the sea :) Unfortunately in our room bathroom was not really comfortable due to it`s size and shape but it was completely compensated by view. Bed is super comfortable. Pool and pool area are quite small but with incredible view. We didn`t spend a lot of time there because amazing beaches are easily accessible by hotel elevator. On the first one right under the Hotel you can even use Hotel`s wi-fi. 2 other beaches are available by 3-5 min walk. To reach both 2 small towns (on the right and on the left side of the hotel) you will need around 25 min by walk (or 2-5 min by car). we had 2 dinners outside but then tried dinned in the hotel and it was really very good! Next 4 nights we eat in the hotel with amazing sea view and sometimes life music :) Parking is good and we always found place to leave car under the roof. If you need time for real relax and disconnecting from crazy life - this is one of the best places we`ve been!

On the first night we arrived we noticed a continuous noise in our room. The night gentleman on duty came to our room appreciated that it was intrusive, some sort of generator vibrating through the wall. He found another room for us to sleep the night and the next day we were upgraded and moved to a beautiful room. the staff could not have been more helpful and gracious to us especially Susannah in reception, lovely lady. The hotel is beautiful, wonderful views, gorgeous comfortable seating areas and two lovely beaches on either side of the hotel reached through cliff walkways. The second beach, however is quite a hike.

Lovely hotel full of character. It's starting to date but still a lovely place to relax. The grounds of the hotel are lovely and views are amazing. All staff in the hotel were very pleasant and helpful. A special mention for Christian who was so lovely and went out of his way to write down his recommendations for places to explore and restaurants to visit. He was like our personal tour guide. The Camino de Ronda is a must to explore the nearby beaches. Local town Platja d'Aro is a 3km walk. Great choice of restaurants and shops. The bus service is very unreliable so sometimes used taxis. A car is a must if you want to explore more areas.
