We just wanted a cheap overnight stopover, and thought we'd get a hostel-like experience in a random place. Instead we stayed in this hotel on the secondary plaza of a medieval fortress. I don't know if it's typical, but they had one hell of a nightlife in the main square just a short walk away, filled with locals. This place is an undiscovered gem that isn't yet on the mainstream tourism radar.

wifi was a bit spotty.

The hotel has a perfect location, within the walls enclosing the old town (3 min walk to Plaza Mayor) but far enough to be safe from all the noise. The rooms are clean and completely dark at night which is great! The bed is comfy. The breakfast is great. The staff is the best: really kind and friendly and always willing to help.

Everything was great. Just to mention a couple of things that could be improved: The bed would probably feel short if you're taller than 185 cm. The acoustic isolation between rooms could be better. If you go to bed early and your neighbors are chatting or watching TV you'll hear it a little bit too much.

Location was excellent, in the old walled town, five minutes walk from Plaza Mayor. The room was superb, all the faciulities you would expect in a good hotel. Nice big room overlooking the square. We did not take breakfast so cannot comment. The hotel was nice and quiet, parking was available for 10 euros a night in a secure location just behind the hotel. The gentleman on reception was extremely polite and helpful.

paid extra for a room at rear was supposed to overlook a patio, which it did not only overlooked a small area where the kitchen extract fan come out of the building. Which started up at 7am in the morning so you could not have windows open for fresh air

Facilities located inside the city wall, thus right in the old city center. Staff was very friendly. The hotel had a restaurant, and it was open (in these covid times that's something that's not guaranteed).

WiFi signal level was very low (3rd floor) making it almost unusable. Bed matress was acceptable but not that confortable. At arrival, towels were missing in the bathroom, and had to be asked for at the front desk.

There was a good choice for breakfast, hot and cold with cereals. The table and chairs well spaced, so was able to feel comfortable. Had parking close by under lock and key. Easy to leave the hotel out to the main road.

The hotel is right in the center of Ciudad Rodrigo, super clean and nice. The staff at the reception desk was very friendly and helpful. Loved the hotel and its location!

The building itself was nice. The other room looked out onto street and was much nicer.

Room looked onto courtyard, so no view. It was quite small.

Central location, room was very nice, not very big, but big enough for 2, we didn't have breakfast at the hotel because it cost 8€ and there are lots of cafeterias offering cheaper breakfasts nearby. The lunch and dinner were very economical, just 13,95€ for a 3 course meal including wine and water.

The price of the breakfast

The hotel's location is amazing, so close to Plaza Mayor. It makes it really easy and comfortable to find a cozy place nearby to have something to eat or simply to take a beverage. The location is also an excelent starting point for a walk around to get to know the city.
