The building and the location are fantastic.

The restaurant is a disaster.

Having read some reviews praising the Junior Suite we spent a little extra to upgrade; and were glad we did. The room was the size of a small flat and very comfortable. We also took the Half Board option which was well worth it. There was a good choice for the breakfast buffet and the evening meal was of a high standard. All the staff we came across were excellent; especially the team in the restaurant for the evening meal who indulged our cod Spanish with a fun approach which we really appreciated. All in all a good stay in a historic monument.

Having said how great the Junior Suite was there was one thing that wasn't quite right; the bathroom door wouldn't fully shut - not a huge issue and one we didn't feel worthwhile reporting; just a bit annoying in what is presumably one of their best rooms. Also it was strange that out of the 20 odd channels on the TV not one was in English or any language other than Spanish.

An absolute privilege to stay in this amazing historic building. Fabulous on the inside also with lots to see and appreciate. Totally top notch food and very attentive and friendly staff. Amazing views both inside and out. Secure parking for motorcycle.

Our room was a little tired and not to the standard we have experienced in other Paradores, but in keeping with the building. Didn't really bother us as everything else was so fabulous.

Unique location, vast views and great rooms. The straff was very friendly.

The facilities are showing their age. The pool area needs refurbishment, the gym is next to useless (one out of four machines worked, all were rusty) and the jacuzzi also looked old.

I liked everything about the Parador. From start to finish, the experience was one of effortless grandeur, fabulous and attentive staff and made me the most relaxed I’ve felt in months. My room - a junior suite, was tastefully decorated with a wonderfully comfy, big bed - and, the holiest of holies- a bath! I opted for half board and enjoyed a beautifully thought out dinner of fantastically balanced flavours and textures as well as a couple of glasses of excellent mencia- before falling into bed and sleeping so soundly, nothing bar the apocalypse could have woken me. If only I could have had another night!

The hotel location is spectacular and the building itself is magnificent. The central courtyard is a really nice place to sit for meals and drinks. The staff were very helpful. The food and drink available was all to a very good standard

The room was a little soulless in terms of decor. It is a standard thing for Parador but the lack of tea and coffee making facilities in the room always feels like a bit of a let down. Other hotel chains of a similar standard seem to have caught up with this.

Dinner. The waiter don't bring me the food I asked. Dinner wasn t at the same level as breakfast

Historical building, nice ambience, professional staff, exceptional breakfast. Room was a good size and everything was very clean. Lovely view in the evenings for the front of the parador. Good value for money.

Whilst the staff were pleasant and friendly I believe the service staff were stretched to provide an efficient and timely service in the cafe.
