Hotel-Motel Sol II

This was our second stay at the Motel. It is a clean , comfortable no frills hotel with large bathrooms, tv with good selection of channels and a pleasant view. Dinner is available with a range of options and the food is good, wholesome and cooked to order. The owners and staff are friendly. It is a good half-way point to stop if driving through Spain to or from the Costa del Sol via Granada. There is a large private car park in front of the rooms. We seek this Motel out first when planning our route( two or three times a year) and it is often sold out .

Bathrooms are quite basic but clean and water is hot and plentiful.

It was my 3rd stay in this hotel. The price. What i like is the size of the room, the comfort of the bed. The huge park car on the property, that they accept dogs with no extra cost. I like that is off the motorway. Lovely views on the country side with viniards. Fantastic restaurant on side using local produce. Nice people.

I did not like a few details like the nearly cold water and very aut dated bathroom. Shover leeked om the floor. Cob vebs on the celing.

This is a roadside motel, 2 km outside of the town of Raquena. So it is only for people who have cars. The motel was great. The price was correct and even included air con. Views of wine yards from the windows. Plenty of space to park. The town of Raquena is very beautiful and has a lot to see, which you may not realize if you just look at wikipedia. For some reason they haven't included pics of all the churches and monuments there are there.

Very warm and friendly welcome by the owners. Simple and clean accommodation in a convenient location for a stopover when driving through Spain. Calm, peaceful area with the bedroom window looking out on beautiful vineyards. Tasty local food and good wine served in the adjacent cafeteria.

Terrific en- route location for an overnight stay. Spotlessly clean, comfortable, plenty of hot water. Large parking area directly in front of the. rooms - speedy & easy luggage loading. The cafe on site serves lovely cold beer & a 3 course meal at a good price. This was our 2nd stay & we will return.

The bathrooms could do with a make over . Nice large bathrooms - but now look tired .

From the hotel room there is a wonderful view over the local grape vines and olive trees. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. Although the hotel is a little outdated we enjoyed the overall atmosphere and particularly the two elderly men that manage the hotel.

Parking outside is plentiful. The restaurant had "menu del dia" at 8pm, which was great because we didn't want to drive into town. We had to be out early, but they open the restaurant at 7:30 in the morning, and we had our coffee and some toast. Also, Gaston is amazing. Super funny and a great host.

We noticed there were spider webs on the corners of the walls. A blanket also had dog/cat hair. We overlooked these things because everything else was great.

Owners make you feel like home. Calm place, not far from the highway but far enough to enjoy the silence and rest before continuing the trip. Great value for money. We were traveling with dogs and no extra charges were taken. Just a few minutes ride from Requena. We will definitely return.

Large room, comfortable bed with extra blankets if required, restaurant serves tasty meals and is very good value for money, large car park, great location just off the road.

Rooms are tired and need updating, especially the bathrooms.

Easy to access by car, just off highway but was a quiet location. Excellent meals served in attached restaurant.

Although a bath was included, it was very old and rusty with old tiles without grout which needed attention, but room was bright, large and comfortable with easy parking.
