Hotel Rural San Miguel - Only Adults

The place is beautiful, if you like the old architecture. I wanted to know more about the history, it was good just to wander around. Every room was different, we got the one with the private balcony, much appreciated. Warm bath under the rocks and the sauna is very good, there is even jacuzzi but it operates only from spring or summer. There is an old vine cellar in a cave under the hotel, unfortunately it was closed. Breakfast was good and enough, just what we needed. It is very calm since you do not have kids around, perfect for turning off. It is up on the hill, so there is not much around, you have a restaurant in the corner of the next street, we had dinners there, it was super, good canarian cuisine, but you had some international food as well to chose from. Extra point that you can go on top of the hotel, the sun rises in from of you and the view on the coast is exceptional. Definitely worth to visit.

Bed was a bit squeaky.

Very traditional interior, gives you taste of local Spanish living, I stayed 3 nights to explore the south area which was good location to both mountains and coast. I liked it was no problem to park in the area - plenty of spots if not on the same street then nearby. Hotel and the area around are relaxing, there is no traffic/not so many people in the hotel. I also liked little garden that hotel has.

Wifi in the room wasnt good enough to make video calls/work, that was the only disadvantage I saw. I had to move to the bar where it was better. But if you are not visiting to combine leasure and work - then there is nothing to mention here. really.

Really liked the old style rooms and hotel area, breakfast was convenient (not too much choice, but do the job. They were even so kind to buy an alternative milk for me). Can’t say anything about the village itself, we were away everyday and come back only to sleep, but overall we liked the area, not too crowded and cozy.

Bed and pillows were uncomfortable, but maybe we are highly demanding :) Plus the smell from the toilet/shower (not too dramatic though), but i guess that’s the consequences of an old buildings. There is a coffee machine which you can use only for money, which is okay, but capsules itself a bit overpriced.

This property is really something special. Unwashed blown away by this amazingly historic place. So many hidden gems and lovely little details. The views are simply stunning and staff was the most welcoming I have experienced in all of the island. For sure will be back - thanks guys

Small hotel sensitively converted from a grand Canarian family home, retaining many original features and period furnishings. Excellent buffet breakfast which varied each day. Nice secluded garden with a tiny underground ‘swimming pool/jacuzzi heated to 33C. Panoramic views from the roof terrace. Easy free parking on neighbouring street. The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The hotel doesn’t offer any meals other than breakfast but staff recommended several places nearly and provided a map of their locations. We tried two of them and both were very good and reasonably priced.

Once we found the doorbell to Hotel Rural and the door opened into the attractive and inviting historic courtyard and reception we were instantly smitten. It was exactly what we had been hoping for, and more. The beds were huge as were the rooms, and our group of two sets of adults were all delighted with our areas where we happily stayed for a couple of nights. The wellness spa was used a few times, and the sauna was enjoyed by half the group. Unfortunately there was not any staff available to turn the sauna on in the morning. Breakfast was great, delicious coffee and lots on the buffet table. A great place to rest and explore for a few days when we first arrived Great food in the bodega next door

We were delighted to have ground floor rooms, everything was accessible, clean and lovely

Lovely, plentiful and varied continental breakfast. A real boutique atmosphere with beautiful antique furniture in all rooms. The thermal spa pool in the cave is an absolute luxury and must be experienced.

Only real downpoint is the lack of good quality places to dine in the town. I only found one that I could recommend, the others were basically just bars that serve burgers and such. None of which is the fault of the hotel.

We had an excellent stay at the hotel Rural San Miguel, enjoying a lot the cosy place composed of several little old buildings around a charming court with flowers and lemon trees. The staff has been very kind. We have especially enjoyed the breakfast. Also the view from the terrasse on the rooftop is amazing : from this high village you can see the South cost of Tenerife and the shape of La Gomera on the background. On top it is super easy to park in the streets next to the hotel.

The cleanings of the bathroom was a bit disappointing, and also it should be renovated (lot of water on the ground after the shower). The restaurants in San Miguel also weren't that good.

The location is beautifully decorated and conveys the beauty, the tranquility of past things. Breakfast in the garden in December is a real pleasure. Breakfast in itself is very good and pretty varied. Sauna is a very nice addition and it was a good place to warm up. Bed is large and very comfortable, towels are exchanged daily (actually if they weren't, there was no chance they would dry in the room / bathroom).

As it was December, for us East Europeans room was too cold. You do not get the feeling of coziness after a day spent outdoors. Bathroom although picturesque not very practical (only two hangers for towels and everything, far away from the shower area). Also, toiletries were advertised, but we only received a bottle of shower gel, which didn't bother us as we had our own. Room is in the need of a thorough cleaning.

We loved this place! It's carefully decorated, very clean and peaceful. The jacuzzi on the top is relaxing after the daytrips such as the "thermal bath". This one looks actually much better than on the pictures. Our room (Nr.5.) was amazing, nice rustic style, old furniture, and a huge, comfortable bed (at least 180cm or bigger). The bathroom was also very clean and stylish. And last but not least: the staff ♥️ Marco made us feel very welcome, the lady at the breakfast is always smiling, just as the cleaning lady. They do an amazing job, thank you!

We really enjoyed our stay here. Maybe just as a recommendation: the temperature of the thermal could be a bit higher.
