Sunway Playa Golf & Spa Sitges

We loved everything about Sunway Playa!! Friendly staff, smooth check-in, great view of the ocean, breakfast was good if you arrive early, but after 8:30am it was not replenished with fresh items. We enjoyed both restaurants on site. Free bikes was a plus. We will stay here again.

Fantastic view to wake up into! Loved the big terrace and how comfortable the rooms were. Very comfy bed, great sofa. I was pleasantly surprised to find a jacuzzi in my bathroom, it definitely added to the fun bit. Great that you can rent a bycicle free of charge too. Certainly a great place to stay for a nice and chilled holiday.

Staff did not seem particularly keen on welcoming me to the hotel. The walls between neighbouring balconies didn't look very reliable - I had an impression my neighbours would get onto my balcony from theirs at some point. Aircon didn't work supposedly because it was not the season (end of October) and I couldn't keep my windows open because of noisy and smoking neighbours

Great room. First visited in 2005 and decor is completely different now. Beds are super comfy and the rooms are very clean. Highly recomended.

Two nights out of 8 nights we experienced noise in our room. First problem night was as if a herd of elephants checked into the room above us. Then another night the occupants next door appeared to be very drunk as they sang at the top of their voices and bounced against the walls. I went to reception at midnight and complained. They said they'd sort it and sure enough all the noise stopped within ten minutes!! We were on the first floor. If i returned I'd ask for a top floor room to avoid the overhead noise - the entire hotel is tiled and it's inevitable that you will hear people move chairs etc. At least a top floor room can help suppress this noise.

We loved the location and the two pools. The resort is right on a great beach. The mini mart was also very handy to have. Flexibility with check out. Most staff very friendly and helpful. Really good to have the mini bus train stop near the hotel also.

Our room was advertised as two bedroom and we expected a living space: the living space had been converted into the second bedroom, didn’t have a door and had to be walked through to access the balcony. The children’s playroom was also closed the entire time. The outdoor play area isn’t fenced so our toddler could run into the main pool which is quite dangerous. The main restaurant was good but pizza restaurant really need work - staff inattentive and food slow and very poor quality.

Large balcony overlooking the pool, quit and nice. Best of all - the shower was supercharged, the waterpower such it actually delivered a massage. That coupled to golfing - perfect!

Lack of electrical outlets near the bed and table. I had to unplug the TV to be able to work. The TV menu was set to German and I couldn't figure out how to change it to English on either remote. Guidelines what remote goes with which device would have been very useful as there were two of them. Not being able to order a sandwich & coffee to the room after 10:30 despite the service card stating I could was a bit of a bother. The reason I attempted it was that the breakfast hall had closed its doors when I arrived at 10:15 despite saying breakfast was served until 10:30. My understanding was that if I get there at10:29, I can still have breakfast. Created a problem resulting in delayed checkout and the hotel made an extra EUR 27 because of it.

Stunning view of ocean and golf course. Room was gigantic and nice huge outdoor balcony. Place was clean and modern. Staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Had issues w/ secured Wifi in the room. They tried 3x to fix, but ended up having to use their unsecured wifi which was fine, except raises concerns for business transactions but doubt this is a high risk hacking area. Secured WIFI also needed for the streaming TV and it was going out a lot. PS: I'd recommend installing grab bars in the tub showers. The layout and getting into the tower is tricky and I can see people slipping and falling getting in/out of shower tub.

Location and view was perfect, also access to swimming pool (indoor because outdoor was not yet activ). Food was good, especially in the Aqua restaurant in the hotel. Service was very friendly and helpful, rooms were cleaned every day. Access to fitness and spa facilities. Bikes you can rent for free in the hotel. Shop available in the hotel area.

Sofa bed was old and not comfortable, also it was bit to hot for me (during the day) in our apartment on 4th floor, I was told that air-conditioning was not yet powered on in april. Que in reception desk - big hotel and only two staff there. I did not like the advertisment of hotel on the bikes and also magnetic cards which were deactivated to often. Sometimes you can see few ants walking in the kitchen area (not a big drama). Only two (english) TV channels without smart tv. Not secured wifi but good speed.

We loved the facilities, staff, convenience of mini market, bikes.

The hotel restaurants did not meet our expectations. We first went to Vento (the mid priced one), but were told they were understaffed and had a broken frier so it would take more than an hour for our food to be prepared. We were encouraged not so stay. We then went to the second restaurant inside the hotel, Agua, the most expensive one. They only have a few tables occupied (about 4 or 5), and it still took about 30 minutes for someone to come to our table to take our orders. The waiters were very nice, but the food was just ok, it took a long time to arrive, and definitely not worth the price. We did not go back to any of the hotel restaurants during our stay and just biked to town for our meals or prepared something in the room. Also, the sofa bed was pretty uncomfortable.

Clean, specious and overall lovely. The rooms we had were big, with a saprate bedroom and a small kitchen, which were helpful since we stayed there with a baby. The location is awesome, right next to a small beach with waves breaker, so the water are shallow and without waves, perfect with kids. It's a bit far from the center, but you can hope on the turistic toy train that costs 2.5 e and get there in minutes. Otherwise, you have nice restaurants in the hotel, a mini market and nice chiringuitos close by. Overall we had a good stay, it's perfect for families with little kids, that wants a tranquil vibe, since it's not huge and noisy. Oh, and it smells great :)

The pool is to deep and there are no shallow areas, which made a bit tiring to just relax in it. The deckor is a bit old fashioned, but actually, I kind of liked it.

I think this is the best hotel that I stayed in. Absolute value for money has an amazing room, and the service and the view from the room are just fantastic. I highly recommend staying if this budget fits into your budget. On top of it the free cycles that you can get from the hotel are like a cherry on top.

1st it is a bit costly, but I would say they justify the high cost. 2nd For the guys who do not like to walk, then this would not a good choice as it is a bit far from the station, the main beach and the church. Anyway cycle covers it all.
