Hotel is perfectly placed to enjoy the old city with all ancient site’s within walking distance. Situated in the heart of the city a full selection of restaurants were at hand. As temperatures reached mid 30’s most days it was a relief to return to the hotel room and their excellent air conditioning

Absolutely No problem with the hotel. However we booked, through Booking.com a return taxi from airport to hotel . We accepted and paid €80. Within hours and without explanation this was cancelled. We re-booked and we’re quoted €120. As it transpired a taxi from airport cost €26.00 and the return €23.50. Decide for yourself if this is gouging?

room was good quality, beautifully located, lovely and amenable staff, daily housekeeping. Lift worked well and was not noisy. it was great to have the option of a quiet cafe downstairs with possibility of a meal. Checkout at midday was much appreciated. Double glazing meant the room was v quiet even though located on the square. You couldn't have a better location, or better quality accomodation over all.

aircon fan is a bit strong and cant be adjusted, though the aircon does self regulate and turns off when the desired temp is reached. would have liked a full double bed rather than two decent-sized singles pushed together. Bathroom door gets stuck in the hot weather and needed a bit of a shove to open. But these are all minor issues.

Highly recommend this hotel for a city break! Clean room, comfortable bed, air conditioning, and friendly staff! Far higher service levels than I've received historically in Spain which was a welcome surprise! A lovely cafe/bar/restaurant on the lower floor and a perfect location - 10 mins walk to the beach, less than 5 mins to rambalas, and a lovely square out the front. I was really sad to leave!

Bedroom smelt of cigarette smoke but it was aired out before we arrived and had been air freshened so it's clear they had made an effort to reduce this which was really considerate.

The hotel is in a superb location! With its balcony that overlooks the plaza itself, it was well within walking distance of all the places we wanted to visit. We had lunched there at Christmas 2022 so it was the obvious place for us to stay when we returned in June 2023. There is a carpark underneath the hotel (accessible from the plaza entrance) with day rate available, so we didn't have to drag our suitcases very far - great considering its a pedestrianised area. The tall blonde lady and the young dark-haired gentleman who were the two mainly working during our stay were both very attentive, friendly and helpful. They learned our preferences extremely quickly - little things like making our bed up with the extra quilt I'd pulled from a cupboard, and having a cafe con leche, a mint tea and an ashtray ready when we sat on their terrace each morning and afternoon, and they made us feel very welcome. They were more than happy to discuss various wines with me after I'd had a glass of something that really wasn't to my taste. The food/drink prices were excellent despite being in a city centre too. The room was spotlessly clean as was the bathroom. Little touches were done to make us feel very comfortable. Despite the noise from the bars and restaurants on the plaza, you couldn't hear it once the balcony doors were closed - an added bonus we weren't expecting. We would very VERY happily recommend this hotel to others and will be using it again ourselves each time we return to this beautiful city (likely once or twice per year).

The hairdryer in the bathroom didn't seem to work but we didn't mind because I'd brought my own anyway. Everything else was perfect!!

The location is perfect if you’re looking to enjoy time at Platja Miracle or the many historic sites of the city. You are right in the center of a plaza that is not too hectic (good sleep at night) but also with life that you won’t get bored. The beach is a reasonable 10-15 minute walk away and the historic sites are easily accessible through a short walk.

We would’ve liked to know that the breakfast package is a bit more expensive (7€/day) than just ordering from the hotel café menu (max 4.50/day). Otherwise, facilities were to expectation and there were no surprise charges.

Fantastic location for people who like being on the beautiful and lively main square. The underground parking is right across the square only yards away. We had a great view down to the square from our superior room and it was not noisy. The desk clerk (unfortunately forgot to get his name) was fantastic. I could not locate a hair dryer and he went out and borrowed one for me! (then I was embarrassed later to find that there was indeed one in the room.)

It was all fine, thanks! Breakfast was fine but quite basic so you might want to get it elsewhere if you want a large one.

Location is fantastic - minutes from several historical sites and beach overlook, restaurants nearby. We requested double bed, paid extra for Square view. Response was double bed or 2 twin would confirm on arrival, and all worked out fine with double. We were able to walk from regional train station, about 10-15 min; may be difficult if you have large roller suitcases as some is uphill. Very clean, and comfortable bed. Good shower pressure and deep tub.

Dim room lights make it hard to read in room. No shampoo or soap, just packets of shower gel (weird to wash hands with) - no big deal but we hadn't brought our own so had to go out and buy.

We stayed for three very enjoyable nights at the Placa De La Font where we found the staff to be friendly and our room to be spotlessly clean with fresh towels every day. The hotel is situated in a perfect location in the main square in the old town of Tarragona. The square contains many bars and restaurants and can get quite busy (but never rowdy!) in the evenings which in turn creates a great atmosphere around the place. All age groups were out enjoying themselves in a civilised manner which we found to be quite refreshing. There are also many tapas bars and restaurants dotted up around the Cathedral and Forum area which we both preferred. The surrounding area contains many Roman buildings and artefacts which are a short walk from the hotel. All in all, Tarragona is a beautiful place to visit, which was made all the more perfect by our stay at the Placa De La Font. PS. I highly recommend trying to book a walking tour prior to visiting and sampling the local Vermut (vermouth)

Amazing location right in the middle of a busy square full of restaurants- could not have picked a better location to see the ancient sights. Basic accommodation but fine for the price.

While it was nice to have air conditioning, it was “on” or “off”- the temperature selected didn’t reflect the temperature produced so it was very cold and blew directly onto the beds overnight. We chose to open the windows after the bustling square quietened down in the early hours of the morning.

Excellent location and friendly staff. Also has a lovely cafe/bar on site serving good coffee and (basic) good food. This hotel has an excellent location going for it, being in the heart of the city amongst great bars and restaurants. For the price, you can't go wrong. Rooms at rear (without balcony) are quieter, so go for these if you don't want to be disturbed by the crowds in the square below. Rooms with balcony open on to the square below and catch the best sunlight.

Rooms at rear have very little natural light, but design of building can't help that.
