Scandic Karlskrona

Location is stunning. Breakfast plenty of choice and well prepared. Efficient and friendly staff

For longer staying guests (ie one week), the lack of adequate wardrobe and cupboard space is disappointing as is the lack of tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Also for older guests the use of the baths as a base for showering can be a little tricky.

Beautiful view of harbor from room. Nice access to local restaurants and sites, including a little rock island wildlife refuge. Breakfast was excellent and dinner very tasty. Staff helpful and kind.

Elevator problems were finally resolved on our next-to-last day there. Furniture was spare. I'd like to have a couple of dresser drawers to put my clothes in so I don't have to keep digging through the suitcase.

The location of Scandic in Karlskrona is very good. Just at the harbor, the market square and close to all main sightseeing sites! The breakfast was very good with a lot of tasty food and assortments for everyone. The room is spacious and lot of comfort with beds and bathroom.

The bathroom is missing a towel dryer, if you stay a couple of days and do not need cleaning, it's nice with dry towels the next morning! A small thing, also missing a makeup mirror in the bathroom..... Since we had rooms facing the open square close to the harbor, it can get noisy with music and people in the evening. Though the live music stopped at 10 pm, so its OK!

Scandic is well located, just minutes walk from the restaurants, shop and waterfront. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Therese stood out as being the most helpful. Well done to her for seeing to my past-midnight check-in after driving almost 250km. Helping me with picking up dinner, having warm drinking water for my room at my arrival all the way ensuring I had a packed breakfast when I checked out at 4am on my final day. Simply outstanding job, Therese. Thank you.

Location, room size was good, rooms and bathrooms were clean, view for the window was really nice.. very comfortable stay..

Since the elevators were being repaired the stairs were used.. and that’s fine.. but the stairs had massive dustballs could have been cleaned before using them as an alternate route than the elevators..

We have been staying at hotels on Karlskrona for the last 7 years we are here three times a year visiting my mother in law. We usually stay in first hotel stat but your hotel is so much more luxurious and overall a better experience in every way except ....

The one thing that ruined the stay was that fact that we were kept awake for most of the night due to a buzzing sound in our room. Needless to say we had a very bad sleep. As I said we are regular visitors and would definitely look to stay here again - but hopefully next time we won’t have the noise issue that prevented us from sleeping. I would very much appreciate it if you satisfy us in terms of a goodwill refund payment of some kind for the issue and discomfort with the noise and lack of sleep. Best Stephen

Daily same menu for breakfast, can include omlete now and then, pastries can be kept as evening snack.

Location of the Hotel was great

The Restaurant menu was a little limited although the food was great. The Hotel carpark was run by private contractors so there is no free parking at site. In addition when the Hotel os busy the car parking is somewhat limited.

When you say "parking available" you might add that it is only available at extra cost and VERY LIMITED!

Location

First time I have to pay for an early check in! If the room is ready, why would you charge for taking the room at 2pm instead of 3pm? Not very customer minded.
