Courtyard by Marriott Basel

Without a request, they gave as a room for wheelchairs access. Which means that a shower is not closing (only a courtain), so after a shower a bathroom was wet. Also, a washbasin area was much smaller than in usual room. We asked for a change of the room and next day we moved fortunately. Thanks! Good, diverse, breakfast. Helpful waiters in the restaurant. Restaurant open during the day (I guess between 12 till night, so we were able to eat at 16:00, which is very extraordinary in Switzerland). Thanks! Parking in a garage (costs about 24/day).

There is a renovation of the hotel at the moment. It will last until September/October 2023. It is a shame they did not inform about it at booking.com. So there is some noise during the day, but I would say it is not very noisy, but the entrance area is cluttered with materials, it is dusty, workers moving around etc. Not good for a stay with a kid currently. This time, a receptionist was not professional and informative. It was not our first stay here, so we knew everything, but without asking one wouldn't know there is some discount for a parking for guests or a discount for Aquabasilea.

Good location and cleanses

I arrived before my check In time and I kindly requested a room or space to take our bathing suites and other things to go to the swimming pool and the receptionist was not really polite. I was traveling with a small kid. If the rooms are not ready you can offer a small space for guests to take all necessary things out of luggage and visit Aquabasilea. Thanks

Clean and comfortable. Location was close to the train station with good connections to Basel SSB. Staff pleasant and helpful.

Check in experience could have been better . We were allocated rooms that were already occupied which was embarrassing to both parties. This was quickly rectified and we were given alternate rooms. Breakfast was decent with a good spread.

This is not about hotel but relevant to it that we couldn't order Indian food in the hotel and the way to Pratteln train and bus station could be improvised for the pedestrians.

Great position as a stopover on the A2. Great parking facilities (indoor and warmed up). Very confortable room, really quiet. Nice food at the restaurant, very friendly service. Large and tasty buffet breakfast with good coffee. We traveled with our dog and she was welcome everywhere (also at breakfast).

Well organised hotel, spacious room. The hotel has a direct access to the AquaBasilea water attraction and offers a reduced entry fee. There is plenty of parking space available (both underground and outside). Hotel guests are offered a special regional guest card that allows free travel on the local public transport network (including Basel city) and a reduction on entrance fees to selected tourist attractions and museums.

Parking comes at quite a steep price of CHF 24 per day. The location of the hotel is convenient when traveling by car, but otherwise not very attractive. It is mostly surrounded by (chemical) industry and close to rail tracks with freight trains passing by frequently (including during the night). Noise is not a problem as long as you keep the windows closed.

Location, underground secure parking, staff friendliness, proximity to the swimming pool centre with a lot of fun slides for kids.

Nothing really, but a covid antigen testing facility for our 12 year old nearby on Sunday‘s would have been great!

Room was nice and location to the hotel was ok. About a 10 minute walk to the train or tram.

The staff appeared to be overworked. The staff continually mentioned to us how they are under staffed and working crazy hours. Hope that improves for them as they were super nice to us.
