Radisson Hotel Zurich Airport

Really friendly, kind and helpful staff. Reception lady helped me with a sling for an injury that I couldn't do myself, restaurant lent me things to have food in my room, and breakfast staff lovely. Room was comfortable with great shower, supportive mattress with soft topper and really quiet. Close to supermarket if you wanted bits and bobs.

The timings for the shuttle bus were a bit unfortunate for my arrival and you definitely have to plan if you need to be in the airport or get to the hotel from it. Also need to allow 15 mins or so.

The Radisson was a great option when a delayed flight caused us to miss our connection. It was a quick taxi ride away from the chaotic airport and nicely decorated with a large spacious room looking out on a field. Our missed connection ended up with us having a 24 hour layover, so it was especially nice to be at a airport hotel where we could enjoy a walk to the nearby neighborhood and enjoy a nice lunch, after we paid extra for late checkout. We were very satisfied with the breakfast in the morning and the quick shuttle bus ride back to the airport the next evening. All the staff were friendly and helpful.

Good food options plus there is a MacDonald's within the property. Hotel was fine but do not stay here if you're thinking you are close to the airport. Yes, you can see the airport but it is not really close. Public transportation is also not easy. Bus frequency is once in 30 mins. So you cannot really use that for airport transfer. Hotel has a paid shuttle service thankfully every 30 mins at CHF 8 per person which was really helpful. But it was a pain to walk to the hotel with luggage from closest train station. It is a long 15-20 mins walk. With sun shinning really bright in summer it can be quite a tough journey to walk here even otherwise after a long day of activity. My kid was really hassled to walk so much - up and down to train station 4 times in two days. So if you're with kids then definitely avoid. You are better off staying in Zurich and then travelling from downtown to the airport. However if you're going to use taxi service to arrive and move about from the hotel then that's absolutely fine.

Room was clean and nice but felt it was a little cramped. Towels were not enough on first day. See, most use this hotel as a transit sort of hotel and people come here to be close to airport. But that does not actually help. Long check-in queues especially in the evening. Takes a little while to even get there, and we made the mistake of coming to the hotel in the afternoon to leave luggage and then move about. We lost a lot of time; perhaps we should have left it at Zurich train station lockers. Average & functional hotel. Did not feel like a Swiss quality hotel.

The front desk, the man organised shuttle for us in morning, it was next to macdonalds. They have a coffee machine in rooms. Relatively fair in price

The lady at the front desk who serves me first had an attitude to questions i asked until she saw my husband. The restaurant in morning í sat and tried to ask for an attendant of coffee for more than 15 minutes with people just passing by. It felt like they jump when they see my husband who is white. The toilet had some smell whole night. If you can afford radisson blu, stay there, its where we spend our first night and I thought its same hotel.

The room was very comfortable and location good.

When I booked the hotel the following was detailed in the hotel description: “An airport shuttle is complimentary. Other amenities include a hip Italian restaurant and a bar, plus a 24/7 fitness room, 10 meeting rooms and a business center. Parking and a breakfast buffet (fee) are available.” From the above I assumed the the shuttle was complimentary both ways, but unfortunately this is not the case - the return trip to the airport is 8CHF. I suggest that hotel management have this corrected.

Location okay for one night stopover at the airport, must be the only airport hotel in the world with a open prison theme, only comparing with what I have seen on TV of course ! In the room there is no separate bathroom, the WC, is in a separate room with its own prison themed steel wash hand basin. The shower is in the main room next to the bed, with another basin is in the main room. We thought it was hilarious!

Airport shuttle bus inadequate, we used a taxi, at 27 Swiss Francs, from the airport, because the bus was a van with 12 seats, and calling at other hotels, we waited, when it arrived it filled up quickly and lots of people waiting for the next, so was hopeless at 30 minute intervals. It was fine for the return to the airport the follow morning as it called at this hotel first.

No one expects to get COVID (especially when vaccinated and boostered and faithfully wearing a mask) while traveling so ended up unexpectedly in self-isolation at this hotel. Staff has been absolutely AMAZING and they were so grateful when I told them I was COVID positive and that I needed to stay in my room for 5 days. Housekeeping came by and knocked daily (I had asked them to not enter my room to protect them) to check on me and replace towels, etc. A breakfast staff member was assigned to put the foods I pointed to on a tray for me to eat in my room (of course I was wearing a mask while with her). And got me ice from the bar! Room itself with a very good layout and I especially love the circular shower (don't worry it closes shut and can't be seen through) that can hold almost any size body. Room is so soundproof I didn't even hear planes (although very close to the runway) until I opened my window after several days. Shuttle service was great (only had to pay 6 euros when heading back to the airport) but there is also a bus stop to the airport across the street for those with limited bags. McDonald's is connected to the hotel with Aldi and Migros grocery stores across the street. Would definitely stay here again when I can actually enjoy my stay BUT the staff here made what could have been a horrible time bearable. I truly feel that I am leaving new friends behind.

I was having a quick one night stop-over in Zurich before continuing my journey home to the US (started in Germany), and the Radisson was the perfect stay overnight before my flight. The room was clean and comfortable and the staff was friendly and helpful. The property is about 10 minutes (if that) driving from the Zurich Flughafen. There is a shuttle to and from the hotel/airport which helped me choose this property--but note about the shuttle: It is 'free' to take from the airport (to the hotel), but to schedule your shuttle from the hotel back to the airport you'll need to get a ticket from the front desk and pay 6 CHF. I knew about this charge in advance, so for me it was no problem, but just something to keep in mind. There is small bar/Italian restaurant in the lobby of the hotel and there is also an attached McDonald's so you'll have options for food/drink which was nice (since sometimes airport hotels can feel like islands with nothing around. All-in-all I had a lovely stop-over, got a good night of rest before my long flight home. Would absolutely stay here again in the future if I ever needed a overnight stay before a flight out of ZRH.

good value for those catching early flights

-if you’re taking the train, it’s not as near as you think it would be. with luggage, the walk is a great exercise -you can hear a bit of noise from the road -my room was not that clean. the toilet had a foul smell. -the toilet bowl wasn’t cleaned properly. had I looked closer, i would have been able to guess what the previous guest had eaten -there were strands of hair on the bed -the floor needed more cleaning. you can see dust gathering specially towards the corners of the room

The property is excellent and at a very good price for money. Rooms were spacious and clean. The attendant staff is super helpful. The hotel provides breakfast and dinner at a price but also has an attached McDonald's if you want to skip the hotel breakfast/dinner. Hotel is easily accessible via bus 501 and also has Rumlang train station around 1 mile away. There's a grocery store nearby as well. The hotel is a bit away from the city but it's manageable through public transport.

Being a hotel close to the Airport, the hotel should keep atleast one weighing scale for people to weigh their bags before checking out. This would be very helpful.
