The rooms are beautifully decorated and spacious, with clean bathrooms and complimentary toiletries. The location is right in the old city center, next to a beautiful old church. Parking is right in front, and the hotel provides free parking vouchers until the following day. The staff was friendly and had no problem speaking English with us.

Huge room!! Nice decoration. Very quiet. Friendly and helpful staff at check in (you check in at the US Mex restaurant but all worked very smoothly). Lovely rainfall shower. Room was serviced daily very thoroughly. Huge, comfortable bed. Nice to have a sofa in the room too. Smart TV with Netflix. Brilliant location. Vouchers for the Mexican restaurant provided for a free drink each and also free chips and dips so we enjoyed a very reasonably priced meal there on our first night. A fan was also provided but the room stayed cool enough when we were there anyway. Everything was super clean.

If I'm being really picky, the bathroom fan was quite noisy. But really it was an amazing stay.

Good location, comfy beds, stylish room! We booked to stay here as part of our trip as we wanted to go to Rhine Falls. Unfortunately we arrived late due to our flight being cancelled so we arrived at the hotel at 9 o’clock and had a quick bite to eat in the restaurant, the food was lovely but we wish we had more time there. They also give you a coupon for a free drink (up to 6 CHF) and chips and dip which is very nice. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you are staying in the area as the staff are very accommodating. We were also able to leave our luggage at the restaurant for the afternoon when we checked out!

This was the best hotel we have ever stayed at in its price range. It was unforgettable because it was just so different to anything else. The bright Mexican decor of the biggest hotel room we have ever seen and the huge comfortable bed were amazing. Add a fantastic bathroom with an absolutely great shower, - like standing under a waterfall.The adjoining Mexican restaurant with a great atmosphere, completed the feeling that we were in Mexico not Switzerland. There was no air-conditioning but they provided a fan to keep us cool as the weather was hot. The staff were friendly and the late checkout was good.

Directions for the hotel did not say that you had to check in and enter through the Mexican restaurant so the address should have been different. For this reason we had trouble finding it and did a lot of extra walking to do so.. Exiting and re- entering early in the morning to go and find somewhere to eat breakfast, was a bit tricky because if no staff were around the restaurant was locked. I presume there was another exit but we weren't told about ir

check in was a bit confusing as the hotel address is on a different street as the check in. The check in is in the Mexican restaurant and you walk back through the restaurant to the elevator and then up to your room. Once you get established you can use the "back door" to come and go, the address of the hotel. This has been confusing for more than me as the lady next door to the restaurant told us to enter the Mex. restaurant and check in there.

The church bells at 7AM were a surprise on the first morning. I guess it is used to wake up the city to say you should be at work. Or at least you should be up.

A room with a view - from our balcony we had a view of a large church and a quiet street, it was a lovely place to sit and drink a morning coffee or an evening glass of wine. The room was large and had a fan which we needed because it was very hot! Great Mexican restaurant too.

It was a little difficult to check in as the Mexican restaurant was actually behind the hotel and fronted onto a different street, however there was a way through the back but it didn't look very inviting but don't be put off as the hotel was lovely!

The hotel is actually first and foremost a tex-mex restaurant, which came in handy, given that almost everything was closed in the city on the day of our arrival (because of the national holiday). The check-in required to call a number written on the door, or going around to the restaurant, but once we called, the rest was easy, and the check-out was just dropping the key cards into a box. The room was spacious, the bathroom was ok, and the location is spot on - in the very center of the city. There was a coffee machine in the room. The room design revolved around the tex-mex theme, I guess.

There was no fridge nor A/C - though there was a floor fan (it didn't do a very good job dealing with the heat).

The hotel is perfectly located in Schaffhausen old town, a few minutes walking distance away from anything you might want to see. The rooms are exquisitely decorated and furnished and lack nothing you would find in a 4 star establishment. The staff of the US-MEX restaurant, who takes care of checking in guests, is absolutely professional and efficient. Included in our room were two vouchers for drinks and snacks at the restaurant, which we used as part of an excellent dinner.

The lack of an option for breakfast (even as a paid extra) was a bit of a nuisance, especially on a Sunday when apparently no bakery is open in town and cafeterias only serve drinks. This review would have been a 10 if there had been any possibility for a breakfast.

My room was large and the bed was comfortable. I requested non-feather pillows and they provided them.

My room was hot but there was only a fan for cooling. There were no cupboards or shelves to store clothes, just coathangers. There were no instructions how to use the coffee machine. Strange electric system: for the bedside lamps to work you had to turn them on and also turn on a switch by the door! The armchairs and sofa were old and threadbare. I avoided using them.

Really big rooms with lots of space.... lovely beds and pillows etc, very comfortable sleep despite warm temperatures outside. Room decoration is very quirky, but effective. Good location in town centre, short walk from the railway station. Attached restaurant/bar also decent. Would stay again.

Whilst full hotel service in terms of daily room change, doesn't really strike me as a hotel in a strict sense... rather rooms attached to a restaurant/bar. But not an issue for us at all as rooms were great and location etc. perfect.
