Hotel Daniela

Well maintained and modern in typical mountain style. Staff were all great and breakfast was gexcellent. Free minibar was an added plus. Attention to detail was great and everything was very clean.

Lack of individual temperature control in rooms. It was either too cold or too hot. Have to ask reception to increase or decrease temperature and it is not on demand. ie you have to give them a time when to increase temperature . Soundproofing from floors above was not great. Upstairs neighbours had kids stomping around so ask for a room on a higher floor or maybe hotel can keep families on lower floors. Didn’t get a sense I was in a Swiss mountain hotel. All employees interacting with guests were foreign. A bit like being in Dubai, never interacting with Emiratis working in hospitality venues. This is all the more remarkable as hotel Daniela is touting being a family run hotel and Zermatt is a village.

The hotel is in a very nice location and quite easy to reach and find from Zermatt station. Check-in was efficient and fast. Breakfast service was great and quite many choices. Specifically, we love the fresh orange juice presser. Room was decent size for Zermatt and for the price, we got all that we need and it was a very cozy room. We love the amenities such as their own spa and wellness, though small.. it looks really chic. We have also been offered to try the HOtel Julen's (sister hotel) wellness which is a plus. We'd love to come back here again.

Pillow could use some replacement. It's nothing but a mere duvet cut in the shape of a pillow. It does not hold it's form and we literally have to roll it to make an actual pillow out of it.

We were really happy with our stay here. We got free upgrade to Suite room with amazing Matterhorn view, thank you for this lovely surprise, it was the highlight of our trip. The hotel was in strategic location which had an easy access to main tourist attractions. The breakfast was very delicious, probably the best breakfast we've had so far in europe hotels. The complimentary snacks and free mini bar were also a nice additional features that we enjoyed so much. We also got a chance to swim in their partner hotel which only 2 minute walk from our hotel. Everything was perfect. Highly recommended!!

This is a gem of a Hotel. All the staff are welcoming and extremely helpful. The attention to detail in the room was outstanding, right down from a single rose to a block of Swizz chocolate. Overall we found the room very comfortable (a little small but larger rooms are available) with a balcony. The bathroom is modern and clean. Great view of the surrounding mountains with some rooms facing the Matterhorn. The breakfast was, again, outstanding with a huge variety for every taste. Squeeze your own fruit juices (by machine). The kitchen host, Claudia, was so welcoming and made great coffee. And should you choose you can have a Prosecco with breakfast (all included). Included in the room (free) is the use of the minibar - beer, soft drinks and water. Downstairs offers snacks during the day that can be picked up in the breakfast area. Free transportation from the station and return is also offered. We also had a 5 course dinner at their sister hotel at a discount price - in short it was amazing with beautifully presented dishes and excellent service from Marco. I’m a hard marker but I highly recommend the hotel Daniela. It is a lovely family run business and is excellent value for money.

The room was spacious, modern, well decorated and really comfortable. There was a large and cozy balcony as well. Amenities such as the minibar and an espresso coffee machine in the room are also great. Breakfast is really good, including freshly squeezed orange juice, lots of delicious options. The location is great, close to the city center, but in a quiet street, right next to a bus stop to reach the lifts (you can also walk 10-15 minutes to Matterhorn Express lift). The ski room is modern, and you have a private locker there. Staff is super friendly and efficient. Loved the hotel!

We really enjoyed the property and room decor. It provided an immersion into the Swiss culture. The staff was helpful and offered advice for activities and food. One of the members was Silvana. She made sure our breakfast was enjoyable and she really made us feel at home.

The hotel is located around a 15 min walk. It is not bad, but after a long train ride we were ready to rest. Wish I knew about the shuttle service option. Which we took advantage on our way out.

A great hotel within a walking distance from the train station. We were pleasantly surprised by the room and the small touches such as the complementary minibar and the way the rooms were decorated with local produce. The breakfast was excellent with plenty to choose from, including local products and enough vegetarian options for the start of the day. The rooms was quiet, the bed comfy. The adults only wellness area was a great addition to our relaxing stay!

Having the opening hours of the wellness area available would have improved our experience, as now at our return to the hotel we learned that there was less than half an hour left to utilize the pool and saunas. This information could be included in the overall info cards alongside the breakfast etc info.

I’ve been all around the world and I must say that this hotel is one of my top favorites. The staff is top notch - proactive, professional and caring. What is more the hotel is really pet friendly in the room we found bed and bowls prepared for our dog, which was a pleasant surprise. The area is quiet, rooms are comfortable, spacious and clean. Wellness area was perfect - cameral, we had it almost for ourselves. Breakfasts are excellent with variety of food to choose. I truly recommend and hope to be back soon!

We loved Hotel Daniela! The staff was very friendly and accommodating, and the breakfast was outstanding! The Hotel is located centrally, and we were able to walk to most destinations. The ski lockers were very convenient for our group, as was the transportation provided to the train station. I highly recommend this property if you want a Boutique Hotel feel in Zermatt.

Beautiful hotel with amazing staff. The decor is spot on. Breakfast had a wide selection of fresh dishes for everyone's taste. Rooms are updated and are larger than expected with a nice balcony. Mini bar was included, nice touch. The staff was very helpful in providing local amenity and ski information. They went out of their way to help us with accommodation resolution due to being stuck in Zermat as a result from a heavy snow storm which caused the trains to be cancelled. Thank you Hotel Daniella!
