DoubleTree by Hilton Taipei Zhongshan

We have got a free upgrade on our room upon arrival, that was surprised! From the moment we check-in at the front desk until the minute I leave the hotel, I felt comfortable with their genuine services. Bedding was comfortable, ambience in the room was great, we stayed at the front corner at 8th floor, which provides great scenery of Taipei City (ZhongShan District). It was indeed a very convenient neighborhood and easy travel spot for tourists. Recommended to include breakfast in the booking, attentive staffs in the restaurant, breakfast taste good (I personally prefer English Breakfast selection)! We could order based on our preferences on breakfast. Will definitely return to stay again!

The bathing area tiling is not easy-dry type, so it caused a little damp even after an overnight. There is no ventilation fan at pantry/vanity area, not even inside the bathing area, so I was kinda worried it may trigger the smoke alarm after hot bath. The surfaces of these wooden carpentry has damp defects (I guessed it caused by the humidity/the vapors from the bath) which may caused uneasy feelings to guests. I hope the hotel management team will look into these mentioned concerns.

Room was very clean and comfortable. Housekeeping was punctual and the staff was kind and polite. There is a coffee machine provided in the room. Overall the facilities are very well provided in the room with USB ports as well. The front office staff were very helpful in providing us information and directions to local food places. Location is easy to locate about 200-300m walk from Zhongshan MRT station. There are many taxis and nice cafes around the hotel as well.

The hotel is easy to reach by train, surrounded by plenty of good restaurants. The staffs are extremely friendly and helpful and they even let me to store my luggage 3 days prior to my check in! There are 2 selections of breakfast and I chose Asian breakfast with congee. The amount of side dish just for the congee is insane, and all dishes are really good.

only a few mins walk to the mrt station. Lots of nice shopping malls and street to walk around and get coffee. it’s close to the Main Street so it’s still lots of cars and people around, you won’t feel dangerous travelling alone especially for single women. there’s also a post office right opposite to the hotel so it’s very convenient if you need to mail postcards!

none. too bad I didn’t get the try the gym this time. it’s 24hrs so hope I can go there next time.

A warm welcome by the friendly and helpful staff was very much appreciated and a great start to our trip! We enjoyed the breakfast options as well. The hotel may be walking distance from the train stations, shopping and dining areas but managed to offer a quiet and peaceful environment. Housekeeping was efficient too!

Super attentive staff, beautiful rooms, super clean.

I’m on a special medical diet and can’t eat out at restaurants, I asked if I could use a microwave to heat up my prepared food and was told no, little frustrating as I had to leave the hotel for all 3 meals.

Good location, Zhongshan is a nice area. Minutes walk to a Shinkong departmental store. As for the hotel its modern and clean, staffs were all very friendly towards my child and I. They also helped me ship a parcel that I couldn’t receive in time during my stay to my home address. Their hospitality is great. Thank u team!

The housekeeper took my bath towel on the first day there and they wrote a letter to me the next day to tell me that they couldn’t find it. Was quite upset because it didn’t felt like they put in effort to. But eventually they found it, so everything’s good.

Great rooms, very clean and spacious. Staff were wonderful, very helpful and accommodating. They provided waters every day, which was great, and the location was close to some good shops and convenient stores. I reccomend this hotel.
