Novotel Taipei Taoyuan International Airport

there are 2 play area for kids and we were impressed with the kitchen toys that were placed in the buffet restaurant. my girl has a blast playing in that area!

towel too thin n a bit coarse and blanket/ comforter not comfortable. on the website , should inform customer that the free hotel shuttle to airport can only take in 2 luggages, anything more, hotel will book a cab for the customers.

shuttle buses only come hourly from 8a in the morning to 4a the next day. if you don’t know this (we did not) you can wait at the airport for a loooooong time. tried to call them and they didn’t pick up. not good.

We stayed here for one night to catch a place early the next morning. It looks more convenient to the airport on a map than it really is. You can't walk to the hotel from the terminal. We just missed a hotel courtesy bus (which unfortunately makes the circuit once an hour - and took the 'express' subway/train line one stop to just outside the hotel entrance. You don't need to pay for the subway as the hotel is considered to be 'on the airport property'. Just tap your credit card on the pad at the turnstile entrance - no charge. We did manage to catch the free shuttle to the airport the next morning. You need to make a reservation, as it gets very crowded.

We arrived in Taipei around 8pm and there weren't many options to eat of drink, apart from the bar in the Novotel. I thought the prices were quite expensive - USD$10 for a draft beer.

It is a beautiful and comfortable hotel. The reception and restaurant staff are exceptional . I have stayed in many luxurious hotels all over the world that would be very envious of your staff.

Being the only conventient hotel for a flight with a must stayover it is quite expensive. I made this same comment the last two times I stayed there with several members of my company. We didn't mention we were a company just to see if there would be any price adjustment . There was and is not so I am making arrangements for the 20 of us that travel back and forth and must stay over to find other accommodations. Oh!! last year one of the members of my company had to cancel due to an extreme emergency and you still charged him full price even though he canceled . Best of luck to your staff.

Very Convenient to the MRT station. One stop from the terminal then you walk out of the exit and you are at the hotel and its a free service. We already had easy cards, but apparently you don't need to buy them for this service. We were on a layover so we had minimal luggage so opted for the MRT rather than the hotel shuttle, no waiting around at you get out in the terminal. Quiet and comfortable, great for a layover. You do pay for the convenience though. We grabbed a couple of beers from the convenience store in the terminal and relaxed in our room watching the plains take off and land in the rain.

Not much around the area in the way of food but there is a buffet and restaurant at the hotel which both looked lovely. We just felt like some local Taiwanese food and ended up back at the airport food area, authentic, affordable and not too bad.

Very clean and easy to get to. The hotel has a shuttle running to and from the airport. It’s super easy and very manageable. You do have to reserve space on the morning shuttle, but it’s very easy to do upon check in. The ride is less than 10 minutes from the airport. It’s also located right outside the train station, which is awesome. The restaurant and bar on site are super accommodating and the food is delicious. I really liked how easy it was to communicate with the staff who were fluent in English. The hotel is very clean and comfortable, which is also a huge plus. We are a family of five and requested a third twin bed for the second room, which was easy without additional cost. Each child was able to sleep safe and comfortably. There’s a spa and private gym on location, which are really easy to access with your key card. The gym is very well maintained and very equipped, which my husband was excited and took advantage of.

Easy check-in, very well maintained. The bathroom was very nice and clean and modern. They provided extra drinking water bottles for us, about 4 of them in the fridge. The room felt very clean and not "cheap feeling" furniture and amenities. The staff were incredibly helpful, even at 11pm almost midnight and early morning. They have available breakfast options in the hotel and nice seasonal (Christmas) decor! Would recommend and was very happy we stayed here, rather than the capsule hotels etc. Novotel and the Taiwan airport were very organized in arranging a free shuttle to and from, and a wakeup call as well.

They need to get fuller bed pillows. And Although they have a lot of TV channels, they don't have much American or English speaking channels.

It’s near to Taiyuan airport, about 15-20mins ride via their airport shuttle. Clean & nice hotel, suitable for a night stay especially when you are having an early flight next day. Another advantage is that there’s a metro station right next to the hotel.

There are two buildings at Novotel and we were situated at the newer building, which was less than a minute walk to the main building. We would have preferred to stay at the main building because the shuttle bus is waiting at main building. With all the luggages, we need to move from new to main hotel, in order to catch the shuttle. One more disadvantage would be there are no other choices for food & drinks other than at the hotel.

the staff, and free airport transfer which is convenient for travellers. there is even a DIY washing machine, but it is located next building which is their new building, mostly for China airline stewardess.. NT $60 for washing and NT$10 per 8 min for dry cleaning

only thing which i think i got mentioned last year during my stay, the bathroom side is not totally block as there is only half a door, so some water might be splash out , which may be hazard to elderly if it is slippery.. As normally hotels is door that blocks the whole bathroom entrance.

The lunch buffet have to be compulsory paying for headcount . I was intended to take the buffer and my husband wanted to accompany me in but not taking , the staff has stopped him for going in unless paying for the buffet regardless eating or not . Then I have asked for ala cart menu so that we both can go in together but the staff indicated each person must order a main course compulsory ??? Then can enter in . On the first night , we have dinner at the same restaurant when we arrived the hotel , but the staff did not tell us such rule that we both have to order main course then can enter in. I find a but weird that the restaurant has such rule of making diners to take main course before able to enter in the restaurant ????
