Graceland Khaolak Beach Resort- SHA Extra Plus

The breakfast was buffet even though not many guests. Prices are very good considering not many other eating place close by. We chose the pool access rooms which is worth the few extra dollars. The beach is clean and easy for walks.

The resort is a good 18km from the Khao Lak town so can be expensive if using taxi for return trips. That is also where the money change booths are located. Scooter hire 300bth a day. ( Need international bike license)

It is utterly relaxing, it was very quiet so we missed the bar in the grounds, having said that, the weather wasn't favouring us as we had some spectacular thunderstorms. It was a shame that the hotel wasn't reaching anywhere near a full capacity.

Bars being closed - seeing it so underused, (the hotel) and maintenence issues around pool and chalets but the grounds are beautiful and the wildlife.

The resort has comfortable, large villas with a private swimming pool close to the beach, beautiful greenery, a well-kept area, and friendly and helpful staff. You can find various activities - bowling, Muay Thai lessons, writing Thai letters, yoga, and lots more. Of course, there is also SPA.

One Italian restaurant, located in the garden near the public swimming pool, was not ready to receive guests. I dare say that the food was not prepared on the spot; only reheated ready meals were served. I justify it with the low-season

The territory is very green and well-maintained. we stayed in a suite and it is a big and comfortable room with everything one needs. The beach and the sea are just beautiful. Staff is very friendly and trying to help.

Guests come early to the beach to reserve sunbeds by leaving towels and some personal items on them, and many will not come back to use them for hours. There is a sign that the si beds should not be reserved like that, but no one follows and no action is taken by hotel staff. Staff is not able to communicate well in English, even at reception. But these things were minor, overall we had an excellent stay.

Hotel needs some updating, its obvious on arrival. There is a mosquito problem here. We were originally given an "upgrade" to an overwater villa but they are over a huge and rather unappealing "Lagoon". I have never seen so many mosquitos in a hotel room, completely unacceptable. On our subsequent nights we were given the standard rooms, away from the lagoon, near to the main building, I would strongly recommend those because unless you'd like to share your room with dozens of mosquitos.

This hotel has one of the best beaches. The staff made some good coffee for breakfast. There is a play room for kids. There was lots of trees and plants around the buildings with little squirrels and birds.

Breakfast is more quantity than quality-oriented, but you can still find foods you enjoy. This place is pretty secluded, no good supermarkets nearby. Would not recommend going with a baby. The plants around the buildings made the place more humid than some others.

Size of the hotel and beach is great, they have just renovated area with bowling, billiard and table tennis and karaoke

The only one coffee machine where you will wait for 30 min for the coffee in such huge hotel, smell from bathroom pipes is just pure horror, hotel should definitely do smth about, we stayed only one night but definitely would move out just because of this reason as it ruined the night and its not possible to open the window because of huge mosquito ( was killed 6 of them before sleeping)

The suite was spacious and well presented, excellent accommodation for a family of 4. The resort was located on a beautiful beach and relatively quiet. Staff all super friendly and helpful.

Not much in the way of restaurants/bars or shops within walking distance. In comparison to Phuket the Khaolak region is more expensive overall but much quieter and more relaxing.

We had a swim up pool room and it was well worth it. So nice to walk out of your room and straight into the pool !! Our room was about 50 metres walk to the beach through the resort which was amazing. The beach area has such a relaxed feel. We didn't want to leave !! On the beach are multiple local food and bar options. The local people were so nice with no pressure or stress. We will be back.

We loved the hospitality of the staff, the facilities, the spacious suite we stayed.

They should place some sunbeds on the beach and have another restaurant with a more diverse menu open for the guests.
