White Hart

We stayed at the White Hart for one night as we were attending a party near by. We didn’t spend much time in our room, but it was perfect for this situation. The room was comfortable, the bathroom was clean. Bottled water was provided and body wash/shampoo and conditioner and hand soap/moisturiser were all available in the bathroom. Dinner in the restaurant was delicious and the breakfast was too. And the staff were really lovely! Finally there was a reasonable sized carpark so we could easily find a space to park. Although we didn’t drink it, the pub part of the White Hart looked nice too. I would definitely stay here and would recommend the White Hart to anyone.

The room is above a pub, so while the pub is open you're likely to hear the noise from downstairs to your room. It does close for the night, so the night rest was great. The food at the restaurant was absolutely amazing. We ate there two times during our three night stay and loved absolutely everything. Breakfast was amazing too. All the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. We are used to a kingsized bed (2 meters wide) and the bed was 1,4m by my estimation, so we snuggled up for our stay. While it was slightly small, it was very confortable. Parking is free behind the hotel, you might want to take account the birds who'll likely decorate your car.

This lovely god friendly property and what offered was beyond expectations. The staff were lovely when I arrived after a particularly dreadful journey with weather and traffic jams, from Suffolk, 4 hours. The room was lovely, tidy, stylish, comfortable bed, excellent shower. Dinner was lovely, though I do wish, being a single person, didn’t result always being sat at a small table in a dark part of the restaurant!

Almost nothing, though as I was trying to get to sleep, with a room at the front at some point there was someone sitting under my open window smoking!

Good communication from the start with regards to us coming back late from a wedding function, decent size car park. Room very clean and spacious en suite clean and functional, good quality towels. Bed was very comfy, No problem to supply us extra milk for our room as the wife does like a coffee or two in the morning. We ate on the Friday evening in the restaurant and it was excellent, good portions and reasonably priced for the quality. Good choice for breakfast. All staff encountered were excellent and accommodating. Congratulations all round

Absolutely nothing.

Reception: We were made to feel extremely welcome by (Chloe) who immediately abandoned the task she was engaged with to swiftly 'check us in' before showing us our (lovely) room! En route, a gentleman emerged from the kitchen offering to assist with our travelling luggage. Although we politely declined, it was an unexpected and appreciated touch!! We later discovered that (Julian) was the Kitchen manager & one of the 3 owners - Impressive!!!! Our Room: The shower says it all. NOT just 'any old thing will do' but a relatively spacious high-quality unit with extra safety features such as the 'button' to ensure accidental scalding or freezing is difficult!! Breakfast: Other than in Scotland we almost NEVER have a FULL (English/Scottish) breakfast (especially in those hotels whose checkout time is a less friendly 10.00) but are so happy we ordered ours here!! Everything appeared to have been cooked with a generous helping of TLC therefore we manly attempted (almost successfully) to enjoy every morsel. Checkout: As mentioned, the 'extra' hour (until 11.00) allowed us to order & enjoy a leisurely, superb breakfast - and even then the management virtually stated that there was no rush for us to leave; much appreciated and a huge WELL DONE to everyone involved in making our stay so memorable!!!!!!

Only the stairs as Jackie has mobility problems. However, we knew about these prior to booking therefore this is merely a fact and certainly NOT a WHINGE!! They're well carpeted with a 'break' halfway allowing her time to rest before tackling the remainder each time. Every other aspect was really enjoyable!!!!

what a fantastic hotel/pub the owner and all the staff was just superb. greeted on arrival with warmth and a big smile from the young lady who showed me to my room. the room was excellent and true to the website pictures it is located in a small village so quite. even the pub part was excellent and atmosphere on the evening was great and the staff in the bar was very nice. the breakfast was excellent and i met the owner in the morning who was very nice and welcoming and took time out to talk to you and just so nice. great value for money evening food is proper restaurant food well cooked and great choice i would highly recommend to stay there and i will be booking for march again back for work. thank you very much white hart for taking time to make my stay very pleasant steve birmingham

Room was and bathroom was spacious and clean. Plenty of room in the shower, good water pressure and nice shower gel and plenty of towels and loo roll provided. Lovely little selection of tea along with coffee, bottled water and a cheeky biscoff biscuit. Rooms appearance was nice, bright and had good size windows that fully open as i visited during the summer. You did get the noise of the kitchen fans below but i sleep with ear plugs so it didn't bother me at all. Mattress was nice and comfortable. I wasn't able to have breakfast as i had to leave for work before serving but i did have dinner there with work colleagues and the food was lovely so gutted i couldn't try the breakfast. The establishment itself was lovely, loads of dining room inside and a large beer garden at the back, great food and San Miguel on tap!

The only negative was the pillows. I did ask for an extra one which they provided and there were some scatter pillows which was nice. However the bed pillows were a bit thin and lumpy. I normally bring one of my own when i work away as I get bad neck/shoulder so is partly me being a bit wonky but i think they could do with maybe replacing them.

🐕🐕 Friendly. ✅️ Excellent staff, friendly helpful & flexible. Our room was a good size, with precedence given to the large, exceptionally comfortable bed. We both had a great night's sleep. 👌 The bathroom is neat & compact. The food was delicious. We were sad to leave before the Sunday lunch, but with 5 sittings and 250 covers booked for that day, you know they are doing something right. So..... make sure you book your table in advance. 😁 Drinks selection is also good. Looking forward to another visit.

Breakfast It was very good. Varied menu for a small place, and having the full English proved excellent with content taste and above all hot which is very rare Staff excellent and very welcoming.

Although the room was very comfortable, it felt a little lacking in space for belongings, clothes etc. If we were staying for more than two nights it may have been a struggle to house all our clothes etc. Having said this, I’m assuming most people only stay for a few days which would be ok.

Room was very pleasant. Excellent shower. Quality selection of tea and coffee. The pub it is part of served great food in the evening and breakfast was excellent - choice and quantity. Location in beautiful village.

Only that there was a mess up between the property and booking.com over my payment. Also there are currently some building works going on at the back of the property which didn’t particularly bother us but could be an issue I imagine.
