The Railway Inn

It was great, Gary and Tracy were excellent hosts, the rooms have been updated and clean. If you like a local pub were everyone is friendly you’ll love staying here.

I didn’t like the fact I had to go home, the property is great

location, right nearby railway station Good price , the proprietor describes accurately what the facilities are . At the weekend the pub below has entertainment and is very vibrant ! If you’re up to partying go down and join ‘em! You never know you might enjoy yourself! if you are after a quiet night in this is not the place for you , stick another £100 on your bill and find someplace else . That said at 23:00 it stops , end of. which is not ‘ unreasonable. I am not putting this in the negative section as it a subjective view and I was ok with it , others my not be .

No complaints. Good budget accommodation

It wasn't 5 star luxury but I didn't pay for that...it was very good value for money, it was clean, towels/tea/coffee/bottles of water provided in the room. Toilet & shower close to room. Staff very friendly & welcoming. 5 mins from beach & shops. Friday entertainment in the pub below which was good & was all quiet just after 11am. Couldn't ask for more. Would definitely stay again.

The location is fantastic, right in the centre of Dawlish. The people are fantastic, great hosts, never wanted for anything and couldn't be more helpful. Thank you so much to Gary, Tracy and Emma for a great stay and would not think twice about booking there again when I next come and visit my friend in Dawlish! The room was comfy, warm and had everything that I needed for my 2 night stay.

Nothing to not like.

In life you get what you pay for if you want all that posh stuff it’s not for you. If you want a great pub where you are made very welcome by staff and customers then it’s the place for you

No car park but . Bur all the pubs in Dawlish have no parking but it’s not a problem there is public car parks and plenty of road parking

Staff were freindly and helpful. Rooms were basic but everything was very clean and the bed was comfy.

I was in the top bedroom which had no wash facility at all and no water(apart from 2 small bottled water) other rooms had wash hand basins. But for the money I would stay again but not at the top room ( room4)

Room size was good with a hand basin in the room was a plus (shared toilet and shower) and comfortable bed.

Railway Inn said they had commercial cleaners but in the 4nights I was there there was no cleaning and my waste container was overflowing

Right in the centre Town by the seafront did struggle to find somewhere to park but if you fit and happy to walk about 10 minutes there's free parking at the far end of town, the staff were helpful and I would say it's value for money I would definitely stay there again

Dawlish is a really nice smaller coastal town, and this inn is very well placed, close to the station and the beach but also the town centre. Price is fair, too. Very relaxed and you can go downstairs and grab a beer if you're so inclined.

Minor downside would be that the toilets were outside the room and down half a landing of fairly narrow and steep stairs.

Friendly pub with lots of character. Bt Sports/Sky and fish and chips. Looking forward to staying again. Thanks Railway Inn.
