The staff were really friendly and couldn't do enough for you! Having a pool was a real bonus. Breakfast was fabulous and the food in the restaurant was delicious, when I did eat there! Location was perfect!

Nothing major ... The jacuzzi wasn't working in The Club, and sounded like it had been out of action for a while. Pool area felt a bit tired (when compared with the rest of the hotel) but was perfectly fit for purpose. And a small thing.. My room wasn't made up on two of the 7 days which was a bit confusing, tho not a problem. Otherwise nothing I didn't like!

Location is fantastic. Lovely outside terrace to enjoy a meal and a drink. Excellent food. Relaxing spa. Staff are nice.

In the restaurant, a burger was delivered to my table and I start to eat, but then it is taken away from me. Apparently it wasn't for me even though I had ordered one. The one that did arrive was a bit rare. WiFi didn't work in room. Jess was really helpful, she got me moved to another room, and the WiFi did work for the first day but then packed up. Not a major issue as most days I was on the beach. If WiFi worked then it would definitely be 10/10.

Room. Swimming pool and jacuzzi. Reception. Excellent evening main course in dining room. Easy access to rest of Hayling Island. Good walk nearby.

No European red wines in bar - they are all South America - Food miles! Car parking outside the window created noise early. Dining - starters disappointing especially the water melon. No need to change the towels every day - environment and cost to yourselves! - many hotels now ask you to leave anything that you want changed on the floor.

Everything was amazing. The location is breathtaking, the reception staff were very welcoming and helpful, thank you Ellie-Jay for your support with changing our room as we wanted a creek view room. The breakfast was more than sufficient and very tasty and fresh. The dinner was delicious, with plenty of choices on the menu and excellent quality of food and services provided. The Spa was clean and suits all the needs. The pool was clean as well as the jacuzzi, steam room and sauna. Spacious room and bathroom, very well-lit and clean. We will definitely come back again.

The rooms were lovely and spacious and very clean. All of the staff were very polite and extremely helpful. The breakfast was one of the best cooked breakfast we have ever had in any hotel, and we have stayed in some of the best, there was an excellent choice of continental and full English it was always fresh plentiful and very well cooked, even the machine made coffee was excellent. The dinner menu was small but the food again was excellent, I asked if my steak could be pan fried rather than cremated on a barbecue this was done without question, cooked medium rare as requested. Complements to the chef and all the catering staff.

The pool and changing areas were particularly grubby, really in need of a deep clean. Shower curtains aren't great things at any time and these were no exception.

Breakfast was lovely...buffet style, loads to eat. Rooms were spacious and exceptionally clean. Was nice to have fans for the hot weather. Staff very friendly especially those on reception who checked us in. Didn't use the bar area but looked really nice with lots of seating.

Would have been nice to have a lift for the guests to use, there was one service lift for the staff. We were furthest away from the breakfast rooms and reception entrance so dragging cases upstairs and along long corridors was not ideal-especially as we had our elderly parents with us and we were taking their cases as well. I'm sure had we asked though and if other rooms were available they would have moved us. Car or other form of transport is needed if you are not eating in the hotel . Prices of meals were a little high in my opinion but this is nothing unusual for any hotels we have stayed in.

Very clean, comfortable, quiet location with plenty of free parking nearby. All staff were friendly and helpful. Restaurant food was delicious with fair choice, Peach melba could have been a bit more peachy rather than fake tasting more like apple sliced to look like peach! Good ambience

Peach melba could have been made with real peach, out of a tin would have tasted better! Our room fan didn't work, however temperature not hot at the time we were there. Breakfast tables very bare, just minimum cutlery, one glass and mug, one serviette - could have done with more by the time you go for several plates of different variety. Food ran out and not replenished quickly enough.

Overall my stay was very good, I paid extra for a seaview room and it was a view of the docks/lake which was very pretty and with the table and chair right next to a huge window I was able to do my work watching the sunset so that was very enjoyable. The reception staff were very friendly and explained everything well. And, were very accommodating when I had a question. I did order room service and the food was incredible!

I would only say that the bathroom in the room was very tired looking, it wasn't necessarily dirty but there was lots of limescale, and the fittings were a bit worn therefore felt a little less comfortable than it could.

Nothing. Horrible hotel in great location. Toilet did not work because it did not flush number twos...... Hairs in the bathroom which was not clean. Booked a sea view room but it was next to the car park and therefore noisy and the view was obscure to stay the least. Carpets were threadbare. Room standard was poor - just things left undone - fixing things painting varnish just general TLC lacking. Overall a very poor standard for the price. Read other reviews they will tell you the same. The hotel are deliberately blissfully ignorant to what the reviews tell them. Read them. The hotel thanks people for bad reviews without referring to the bad points ! The management clearly have low standards - it might not be what they want to hear but what they need to hear. I will never stay again It was that bad and that over priced for what it was. We stayed on the island for our second night cheaper hotel cleaner bigger room cleaner staff were pleasant and welcoming....everything this hotel lacked.

Comfortable and quiet with nice outlook Ground floor rooms seem to be calmer and quieter than first floor All the staff we came into contact with were friendly and helpful, especially reception and in the restaurant at breakfast.

Not a good idea having heavy glass tumblers in a bathroom which is all hard surfaces. Other hotels I have stayed in recently have provided disposable paper beakers with a sterile recessed removable lid, meaning that they stack and stay clean until used and if they did fall on the floor they wouldn't break. Glasses on the drinks tray would be fine, just not in the bathrooms. The food at breakfast itself was lovely but hot food was popular and the kitchen didn't seem to be able to keep up with the dishes being emptied so there was a lot of queueing which was a pity. Also, the dining room could have done with more than one toaster!
