The hotel is ideally located in the centre of Inverness. I flew in from Amsterdam on the late flight, arriving at the hotel after 23.00. There was someone at reception who checked me in within two minutes. Whilst slightly shabby and requiring investment, The King's Highway is warm and comfortable and has everything you need including plenty of tea and coffee, two bottles of water and biscuits. There was a nice new bathroom and shower with plenty fresh towels, soap and shampoo. Breakfast is available downstairs and can be ordered either at the bar or online. It is also astonishingly good value for money, very tasty and accompanied by free coffee refills. Perhaps not the place to take someone you're trying to impress, but otherwise this is a great, convenient place to stay in Inverness

Not much to dislike here, apart from the street noise. Windows are not well soundproofed and my room was situated within earshot of both the late night revellers (Inverness is quite a lively place on a Monday night in August), and the early morning delivery drivers. Having said that, I slept well in a nice comfortable bed. Apart from that my only grouch - and it is a minor one - was that the Wifi would occasionally disconnect. However reconnection was not a particularly arduous process.

I expected far less from a Wetherspoon hotel! The size of the room was OK, the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was nice. Although the price didn't include breakfast, we decided to have breakfast next door in the pub, and oh surprise, it was nice and cheap. We also had dinner in the pub, and it was nice, and just next door tot the hotel, very convenient.

They do not have a parking, but found a very cheap one with JustPark 5min walk from the hotel. Otherwise, the view from our window was not that nice, but we stayed only one night and were outside most of the time and it didn't matter.

We were pleasantly surprised at how comfortable and clean our room was. The room was spacious and had two easy chairs and a coffee table so you could watch TV comfortably instead of having to sit on the beds all the time. It was very convenient to be able to just go downstairs to a tasty , reasonably priced breakfast or evening meal. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Our room overlooked the street so we were expecting to be kept awake by rowdy, drunken revellers being turned out at closing time . I am pleased to report that this did not happen and we slept like logs. Overall we had a very pleasant stay and we would book to stay again in the future.

Although it may seem like a silly, small thing , I did have to clean the TV controller with an anti bacterial wipe before I could use it because it was really dirty . However, since COVID, this is something we do at all the hotels we stay at, because TV controllers harbour a lot of bacteria.

The location is excellent, right in the heart of Inverness, 4min walk from train and bus station, shops, bars, restaurants. My room was spacious, the mattress was amazing (very firm, just the way I like it), bathroom's on the tiny side but clean and ample shelving for your things. The room had tea (only bog standard black though), coffee, water and cookies provided (didn't use). The staff at breakfast were amazing.

There was quite a bit noise coming in from outside when I arrived even with widows closed, but it was otherwise quiet during the night, though not sure what time the noise died out, since I came back after midnight. The breakfast was just OK, free tea/coffee refils though.

The hotel is in an ideal location with pubs, restaurants and shops withing minutes walk of it. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. The room was a good size and comfortable. Being in a room looking onto the main street, we thought it would be quite noisy at pub closing time but actually the noise wasn't that loud at all. The hotel was right across the road from where we were booked in for dinner and enjoyed popping into Hootenannys for a while which was also right across the road.

No car parking outside the hotel as you can only park outside for an hour due to the council. But staff were very helpful and there is a multi story car park a 5 min walk from the hotel where you can leave your car overnight for.£9

The room was clean, spacious, had all the necessary facilities for the price range and the most comfortable bed I've slept in for a long time. Good supply of tea and coffee making products, along with bottled water and Oat milk sachets, which was great as a dairy free individual. Access through to the lift, stairs and rooms was from the room card which added an extra level of security given the main pub below. Well located in the city for ease of getting about and close to both the train and bus stations.

Some noise could be heard from adjoining rooms.

Room was excellent, double bed and two singles, TV, Coffee, Tea, Hot Chocolate all available, biscuits too, shower room was large and clean. Location was perfect, 100 yards from Railway Station, made wandering around very easy walk. Having the Bar, restaurant attached was a bonus too, attractive pricing and good quality range of beers and spirits, breakfast looked excellent too although I chose not to eat.

The fact that my football club didn't put in the same effort as the staff and make for a better stay was a little bit annoying. Take from this that there was nothing to dislike about the hotel, bar and all staff.

The rooms were comfortable and clean; well provided for with tea/coffee etc. The location is very good, handy for the bus or train station, the centre and the river for walking. Lively street. Attached to Wetherspoons if you don't want to go hunting for a meal.

On the first stay overnight, in room 108, it was not quiet - close to some refridgeration or air conditioning unit outside and an episode of banging and hammering in the night - source a mystery to the staff too. Take ear plugs just in case! Second night in room 102, was just great!

I save my excellent ratings for truly outstanding properties, but King's Highway met all my expectations and qualifies as excellent for its price. Room size varies a bit. We stayed here twice over a week with a stay elsewhere in between, Our first room was fair sized, our second room was decently larger. Both were comfortable and equipped with coffee/tea facilities and bottled water! The bathroom also was clean and decently sized. Breakfast is simply purchased at the pub attached to the hotel, but it was very reasonably priced and quite good. Staff did not go out of their way to assist, but were always pleasant and helpful when asked. And finally, the location. A 5 minute walk to either the bus or train station, and a 10-15 minute walk to pretty much all you would want to see do or eat in Inverness, the location was perfect.

Through no fault of the Hotel, noise at night and early morning (especially morning trash pick up) was often quite loud, especially as we had the window open during unseasonably hot weather. It did not bother us, but if you are a light sleeper I would suggest requesting a room that does not face the street.

Central location and easy to walk from the train. Room was spacious, and comfortable bed. Being a weatherspoons no loud music into the night so no disruption to sleep

The shower/bath was set way too high. I struggled to step out of the bath with nothing to hold onto but the heated towel rail. Not ideal. Going just downstairs for breakfast was great but was not aware of Weatherspoons cooking habits. Was informed poached eggs were unavailable but I could have any other eggs I wanted. Was tempted to just go into the kitchen and teach the chef how to boil a pan of water but have since learned they don't have pots for this purpose. Was astounded as were most of the other diners that in the case of they run out of 'poached eggs' there is no back up of actually cooking them the regular way and not relying on a package to be delivered. Very bizarre.
