The staff were really friendly. It was a convenient location (travelling up on the motorway and needing a place to stay for the night). The bed was enormous and very comfortable!

I didn't enjoy arriving to a rowdy pub in the evening and having to check in at the pub counter. That's likely personal taste, and I'm sure many people wouldn't mind - but that sort of atmosphere doesn't put me at ease. It would have been lovely to have a separate entrance/reception for the rooms. Again, I understand that it's just the nature of the establishment, but I wouldn't choose to stay there again myself for that reason. It also would have been nice to have some fruit available at breakfast, even though I had opted to pay for the cooked breakfast option.

Location was lovely. Staff were super friendly and helpful could not asked for more. They were reassuring when our arrival was delayed due to heavy traffic. They were interested in how our university open day had gone. Couldn’t have asked for more.

The room was in need of a little TLC. There was Ivy was growing through the open window. We ran out of tea and coffee in the room as it wasn’t stocked up fully. Bar staff were more than happy to give us more tea and coffee though.

Booked The Lodge for my grandparents who were coming to Lancaster for my graduation. The room was excellent, accommodating for their limited mobility and were able to park the car right outside the room. The staff were extremely friendly and went the extra mile to help set up my grandparents Sat Nav on the day of my graduation. On top of this, the price was very reasonable for the lovely room during graduation week (most other places I looked at were significantly more expensive).

Staff were helpful and attentive, food and range of choices were good (very good for rib eye steak). Location was convenient/ easy to find with plenty of parking but light sleepers may be disturbed by passing traffic noise. Parts of main premises and room are in need of some refurbishment/ TLC which we understand are scheduled for later this year. Bed was comfortable and clean but the carpet (hairs on the floor) and bathroom (a couple of cobwebs) could have been cleaner overall.

Evidence the room could be cleaner and noise from passing traffic. The latter may be addressed with better windows and door.

the bar and restaurant are lovely, the room was clean and had what you needed, the shower I found to be quite cold but the bath was good.

I paid an extra £10 for a Mountain View and although in the far distant you could see the other side of morecambe bay I felt paying extra for a Mountain View wasn’t fair as you could mainly see a car park and a housing estate rather than mountains

It had charm and was in an excellent location with free parking and we could have a family room. The beds were super comfy and the staff are very welcoming, friendly and nothing is too much trouble.

The WiFi was excellent but a consequence of having excellent WiFi was the box is in the room flashing green all night which disturbed our sleep. TV needs to be on an angled bracket and not flat to the wall so that you can watch it in bed.

the staff were so friendly and accommodating. the location was superb we were attending a wedding 7 miles away the food was delicious and a great price. the beds were very comfortable and enough room for a family of 4 the children 13 & 10 and we appreciated the space and mirrors to get ready. the price was good too. we all said we would stay again.

The showers were on the colder side - the hot water didn’t seem to last long.

Great food - The rare steak-frites was cooked perfectly and the full English breakfast was huge ! Staff were friendly and professional. Very helpfully they were happy for me to park my motorcycle in a secure location in the courtyard. Good value

The bedside light switch didn't work but i just unplugged it. The window blind was just a couple of centimetres short which let in some light.

The property was easily accessible for my disabled husband; we could park our car in the private car park outside our room so no need for his scooter. The room was a really good size with a comfortable HUGE bed; the bathroom was well laid out, clean and even had a fold away seat (very helpful for disabled customers). The staff were really friendly and helpful. We hadn’t booked a table for a meal as we were unsure how long our journey would take, but they squeezed us in and the food was amazing!

The breakfast was lovely, freshly cooked with local ingredients. Staff very helpful and accommodating to any changes requested. The accommodation was stunning. The most comfortable bed I have ever slept in while in a B&B. Excellent value for money

Evening meal options slightly limited to my taste but this is just personal preference as there were things on the menu that others found enjoyable.
