Lina Guest House

The room was lovely. Enough room for the 3 of us. Clean room. Double bed sloped in middle BUT we both slept great! So not complaining! The owner (we think) greeted us when we arrived and she was very friendly. We met the other owner, her husband the first morning. Sorry, didn’t catch /remember names! He was lovely too. Breakfast room was quaint and very light and airy. Stayed 2 nights and had 2 different ladies who served us. Both very friendly and made great meals! Great location….bus stop was a 1-2 min walk….took us right to the bus/train station, perfect for the hop on tour bus.

We didn’t see the owners again before we left. Shame! Bathroom very small, tight. Only room for one person at a time. Tricky where to put all our towels….though was towel rail.

Very smooth check in. Warm, comfortable triple room with tea and coffee making facilities. Well located on a main route into the town centre. We were offered on-site parking and were able to take a bus into town, which were very frequent - every 10 minutes or so. The guest house is opposite a wine bar and close to a selection of supermarkets. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Gluten free bread was provided as an option with breakfast, which I was very pleased with. Excellent value for money.

Not a fault with the accommodation but the street outside was a bit noisy on Saturday night.

I liked the good location (the bus stop to the city centre is 3m away) and one of the friendliest staff I've ever come across. Since I had to book this place on rather short notice as our previous reservation got cancelled, we had to arrive late at nearly 20:00 o'clock. A very friendly person helped us out on the phone to find the key lockbox and get in because it was locked. The room was very cosy, there was even Netflix and other apps on the smart TV. There was also tea and a water heater. I also loved the bathtub. In the morning a kind lady made us toast, croissants, eggs and coffee and we had a very pleasant chat with her. She even gave us the contact information of a friend of hers in the city centre to leave our luggage! A definite recommendation!

The only drawback was that the electric shower in the bathroom didn't work and we had to use the bathtub.

The room was cute and a definite value for money.

Even if the check out time in Booking is stated as between 11-11:30, the stuff of the property became really persistent at 11 o'clock, knocking and opening the room door to our friend who was finishing his shower at 11:10. It is reasonable to waiting your guests to leave the room on time, but being annoying before the stated time, is taking a lot of the otherwise excellent experience. Please correct the check out time on Booking if you're expecting guests to leave the room by 11 am. The street in front of the property is a busy one, so it can get a bit noisy.

Lovely, comfortably furnished double room overlooking peaceful back gardens and churchyard. Super comfortable bed, nice new bathroom, decent smart TV (bigger than current photo!). Healthy breakfast with freshly-cooked eggs, toast, fruit, yogurt, cereals and more. Welcoming, friendly hosts. Well located. Shops and several coffee and eating places right outside in Summertown. City's a quick bus ride, 15mins by bike or walkable by a choice of pleasant routes.

Staff may be a phone call away when you arrive or have any queries in the evening, but very helpful.

Our double room was a nice size with plenty of storage space. It was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The decor was very pleasant. Breakfast was good - you could have eggs cooked the way you wanted them in addition to the continental breakfast that was available. 45 minute walk into the centre of Oxford but there are many buses running frequently down the Banbury Road,

When we arrived the door was locked and a list of telephone numbers was attached to it. This was not indicated in the details about the property so we were a bit surprised. On dialling the third number a gentleman answered and was with us very quickly to let us in and show us to our room.

The room was tastefully decorated, I liked the colour theme and pictures on the walls. Light and airy room with comfortable enough bed, well furnished and flat screen TV. Clean bright bathroom. Very good breakfast - I really liked the scrambled eggs which were so well made. The lady serving the breakfast was also so friendly, that it was a joy to start the day. Information available and helpful checking in/reception staff, available for any queries and ready to help.

In the advert it might help to indicate which bus best to take when arriving at the train station.

Room spacious, clean and plenty of storage. Overall only one night spent so can only go on first impressions. Staff friendly but only met on arrival and breakfast. Parking front and to the rear.

Ensuite shower difficult to maintain even flow very hot quickly good in winter but not when 28° C. Breakfast OK and fairly good choice apart from hot options , basically eggs four ways maybe a sausage and /or bacon would be appreciated.

Cosy B&B with all we needed for a couple of nights visiting Oxford. Quiet and comfortable with good breakfast and car parking. Close to lots of shops and options for eating out, and an easy bus journey or flat 30 minute walk into the city centre.

Not a particularly warm welcome - staff member seemed fairly new and didn't really give much information. Was a bit of a shame that the B&B couldn't offer an early breakfast given that it was half marathon weekend, but we did have facilities in our room to make porridge, and there were lots of cafes nearby. Shower ran cold once but otherwise was fine all weekend.

amazing staff, very welcoming and lovely! the location was perfect, buses available and easy to navigate outside the property to get into the centre in around 15 minutes so perfect location. £10-£15 if you were to get a taxi into the centre. breakfast was nice. overall the stay was amazing value for money and I really enjoyed it! would definitely stay there again if I went back to Oxford!

bedding could have been comfier, and would be better if the room had curtains, (it did have blinds) to block out the light.
