If I ever travel to Scotland again I will stay here. Loved the sitting room that is separate from the bedroom. We had unknowingly met the host the week before at Midhope Castle, when I thought I had lost my credit card. Beautiful place and they serve you breakfast in your sitting area, which was wonderful. It’s close to Midhope Castle and Hopetoun. They even tell you how to do a short or long walk to them. If you are an Outlander fan, you need to stay here. We even had a lovely chat with the hostess before making our way to the airport.

I didn’t like that I couldn’t stay longer.

The accommodation is beautiful, a little touch of luxury, and has everything you need and more. Very comfortable beds. The breakfast was just perfect to set us up for the day, there is a huge selection of items for whatever kind of breakfast suits you. The shower was great! This is our second visit to Parkhead. I will never get tired of waking up to see the beautiful deer grazing just a few feet away. There is so much to see and do within easy reach if you want to take in the sights and history of Bonnie Scotland. James our host has a mind boggling knowledge of the area, and plenty of engaging tales of the Outlander filming locations nearby (very exciting for me!) his tour is definitely on my bucket list. I can't wait to go back.

I wish we could have stayed longer. A few days isn't nearly enough!

The most lovely B&B I have every been to. Over the top amenities as well as personal touches you don't normally find. We were unable to stay for breakfast as we had an early flight but there was a stocked Refrigerator with cheese, meat, fruit, cereal, yogurt, milk as well as coffee and tea, of course- it was simply amazing. Because the B&B is near Midhope Castle- they have lots of wonderful memorabilia from Outlander. Truly a special place to stay. Not my first visit! It is only a quick trip to the airport, which makes Parkhead House a perfect stop before heading home.

Everything was absolutely perfect.

Parkhead House was so lovely. We stayed in the two bedroom apartment with our kids. We only got to stay one night but I would love to have stayed longer. The breakfast was really amazing! So many choices and all very well prepared. We arrived a little late in the evening and James offered to drive us to the Pub (and pick us up after) where we had dinner reservations which was a huge help since we had just arrived and were tired and still learning to drive on the left side of the road.

Parkhead House is in an outstandingly beautiful location, a pleasant change from Edinburgh bustle, Breakfast in the private sitting room was wonderful and Scottish- they even have square sausage. Lots to see in the immediate area if you're interested in history and bucolic landscape. Outstanding in every way.

The place is well run and clean. The food is good. I wouldn't change anything except to be able to stay longer.

Everything about this little B&B was amazing. Location, idyllic yet just a 10 min drive to the tram P&R to get you to the centre of Edinburgh. The accommodation was so spacious, we loved having the sitting room and lighting the real fire in the evening. The bed was huge and so comfortable, the bathroom perfect with huge soft towels. What we loved the most was being served breakfast in your own suit and not having to get dressed to go through for a communal breakfast. The breakfast itself was delicious..you order your hot food the night before and its put into hotplates in the pantry area...and you just help yourself...there is cereal, fresh fruit, salmon, milk, juices, yoghurt and selection of cold meats and cheeses left in the fridge for you, oh and a plate of pastries. This kept us goung all day lol The owner James was a perfect host and always checked we had everything we need. This place is a gem we will definitely be back .

Gorgeous B&B in a lovely rural area within walking distance to Midhope Castle and Hopetoun House. It was very comfortable and it felt like a home away from home. Big spacious rooms and a fully stocked fridge with lots of snacks. The hosts were exceptional and so welcoming and assisted with walking routes and anything else that was required.

I couldn’t fault it.

The property is just stunning. The views, the rooms, the structure & internal features. The definition of cosy. Plus there's a log fire which we lit straight away! The breakfast selection and complementary bits of food we found upon arrival were greatly appreciated and did not go to waste! Much needed after some hiking. James was so attentive and similarly enthusiastic of my Outlander interests, he was kind and took the time to chat and tell us some interesting facts about the house and it's history too. Overall the hosts and the house completely exceeded our expectations and we can't wait to return, I'll be recommending to many! Thanks again.

Nothing. We loved all of it!

Property is located on the estate of Hopetoun House, nice quiet country B&B with great amenities and within close access to many historic sites. Hosts are amazing and are a wealth of knowledge on the area including Outlander film locations.

There is nothing to dislike about this property.

Parkhead House adjoins the grounds of Hopetoun Estate offering great views of the grounds and the animals (sheep, deer) roaming therein. The first floor rooms we stayed in were light and spacious, with two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a sitting area. From there, one can go for great walks in the countryside, with many historic buildings within a couple of hours' walk (and often less). There is a nice Scottish breakfast and plenty of food in the fridge for sandwiches and general nibbles for the rest of the day. The landlord is very nice and accommodating. An all-around pleasant three days in the Scottish countryside.
