The Beaumont

The location of this bed and breakfast was besutiful Barbara and Steve were the most wonderful hosts ever the welcome you received when you arrived made you feel nothing was to much trouble lovely breakfast plenty of it cooked to order fresh local ingredients plus you had cereal and all the trimmings set you up for the day. Fantastic we have already booked to go back again this year.

Nothing everything was perfect .location of the bed and breakfast excellent beautiful gardens to sit in lounge downstairs had books TV slso dvds plus material about where to eat out and leaflets about attractions to visit in the area.

The warm welcome I received upon arrival continued throughout my stay. Barbara and Steve taking the time to chat with guests. The hotel was spotlessly clean. From the comfy bed, with spotlessly clean white covers, to the good sized shower in the en-suite,immaculate. A soft fluffy white dressing gown hanging in the wardrobe, good selection of tea and coffee as well as shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, everything is thought of. And then the breakfast. An array of tasty treats for the continental, cereals, yoghurt, homemade fruit salad, croissants ,followed by a full English. Locally sourced ingredients perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. This is the jewel in the crown of Sittingbourne. I will definitely return when i next visit relatives in the area.

Excellent value for money. Barbara and Steve were exceptionally welcoming, attentive and helpful. For example, they pro-actively offered specific recommendations of places to get dinner within walking distance. It was wonderful to have the full hot breakfast included -- that seems to have been lost at many other places that still call themselves a "B&B".

We would have preferred to have breakfast earlier than the 8:00 weekend opening time. The beds were softer than we prefer. The sign our front could be better lit; we drove past without seeing it in the evening darkness.

On arrival the hosts were lovely and welcoming and showed me around and explained the layout. I walked 8 minutes to the Billet PH (Green King) and had a meal and drink and returned for bed which was very comfortable. The room was at the front on the main road which could be noisy at times but it was expected and could not be avoided. WIFI was better than at home and easy to use. Breakfast was delicious and just enough for me with service for Tea/coffee and toast. I was glad to see a recycling bin in the room as I have never seen one before in a hotel room and normally take my recycling with me and dispose of it correctly rather than dump it in the normal bin. In all, it was a wonderful and satisfying stay and I would return.

Ccofation was very clean . We had good choice of breakfast which was freshly cooked

The strict early breakfast although between 6.30 - 8.30 , felt interfering with hosts routine if down at 8.25 . Could hear everything next door , we were in Room 8 and at 3pm at night and 6.00 in the morning someone opening their room door going into and out of room . Not great for good nights sleep. No real room for sitting down with fellow guests to have a chat or just relax

Breakfast choice was excellent - even though I only had a small percentage of what was on offer. Barbara and Steve very welcoming; Barbara very kindly booked a taxi for me over the course of three days. Room offered tissues, fan heater and cooling fan - even dressing gown!

It was a bit cold throughout the property, but I did have the fan heater if I needed it. There is no other criticism that I can think of!

Barbara and Steve are an absolute delight making sure our short stay was comfortable. We have stayed once before for only one night not two many years ago. We love the quaintness of this B&B and that it's not 'hotel like.' It's a beautiful B&B. Feels homely and the breakfast is delicious! The hosts also accommodated my gluten free dietary requirement.

The single bed in one of the rooms needs a firmer mattress.

Reviews are about expectations. If you know what you are booking and it lives up to those expectations there is no need to say it is less than Satisfactory. If it does everything well then I mark higher and this is where we are with The Beaumont. Some, but not all, rooms have separate toilets - as long as you know what you are booking...go ahead it will be great!

Maybe the TV in the room could be slightly bigger? That's about it!

Very welcoming, no fuss, clear instructions for using facilities and for late return. Well looked after property, and some really thoughtful touches like the complimentary tea / coffee, shower gel, conditioner and shampoo, and the fan and cooler available in the room. Parking provided on the property, although getting a large car up / down the narrow drive was challenging. Excellent breakfast, lots of choice / options, and well cooked.

Shower controls weren't what we were used to, so took quite a bit of trial and error to get a reasonable shower temperature.

It was very clean. The bed was extremely comfortable and the food was nice. Staff were nice and polite and helpful.

The only thing that I did not like was where the Sun comes through the window you could put a blind up or a pelmet to help with this issue. I know it’s due to the age of the building and the curtains getting them that long to fit.
